Situado al Sur de Galicia, cerca de la frontera norte con Portugal, Vigo es un puerto altamente especializado tanto por sus tráficos, que en un 90% son de mercancía
general, como en su operativa, con 2 terminales de contenedores y de tráfico rodado que mueven el 87% de la carga. Ambas terminales son líderes en el noroeste
español, ofreciendo servicio a las más de 70 líneas marítimas regulares que cada año recibe el Puerto. El valor de las mercancías movidas anualmente supera los
12.000 millones de euros, cifra que incluye el 40% de las exportaciones y el 25% de las importaciones de Galicia, en valor, que se operan a través de sus termina-
les. La de contenedores, TERMAVI, lidera el tráfico reefer en todo el norte del país y cuenta con la ventaja que supone disponer de unas renovadas instalaciones de
inspección física y tramitación aduanera anexas a la terminal, a las que se ha añadido las de Punto de Designación de Importación (PDI). A ello se une la puesta en
funcionamiento de una nueva Terminal especializada en fruta y hortalizas, VIGO FRESH PORT, que opta desde Septiembre a ser una eficiente vía logística al servicio
del sector hortofructícola nacional./The port of Vigo is located in the South of Galicia, close to the Portuguese northern border. Vigo is a highly specialized port, both
regarding its traffics, up to 90 per cent of General Cargo, and its operations, with the Container Terminal and the RORO Terminal handling 87 per cent of the cargo.
Both Terminals are leaders in the Spanish northwest, providing service to more than 70 regular maritime lines that the Port of Vigo hosts every year. The value of the
goods moved per year exceeds 12,000 million Euros, and includes 40% of exports and 25% of imports of Galicia, in value, handled through the portís
Container Terminal, TERMAVI, leads the reefer traffic in the north of Spain, with the advantage of having updated facilities for physical inspection and customs clearance
attached to the terminal, what includes the Designated Point of Import (DPI), which has been recently added. In addition to this, a new fruit and vegetables terminal has
been put into service, VIGO FRESH PORT, aims for becoming an efficient logistic channel for national fruit and vegetable traffic since September
