El Puerto de Pasaia planea recuperar su antiguo papel en el comercio de frutas, con el desarrollo de una nueva terminal y la promoción de líneas marítimas de corta
distancia . La ubicación y conexiones portuarias son óptimas para conectar la zona del Mediterráneo con las Islas Británicas y el Norte de Europa. Un número relevante
de almacenes frigoríficos se encuentran en la zona del puerto, por lo que habrá grandes oportunidades con la finalización de la nueva terminal, en el primer semestre
