SRR 2024, the epicentre of circular economy business
With just over three months to go before the event, from 18 to 20 June, in pavilion 6 of IFEMA MADRID, the eighth edition of the International Recovery and Recycling Trade Fair, SRR 2024, is almost fully sold out, thanks to the great business response it is registering. So far, the area occupied at the last edition in 2022 has been exceeded by 31% and the number of exhibitors by 9%. Also noteworthy is the loyalty of former exhibitors - 80% of them are returning this year - and the presence of 25 new firms, which have booked 30% of the available space.
With these figures, SRR confirms the expectations that the trade fair arouses among the sector, which is going through a good moment, and the important weight that it occupies within the fifth FORUM OF SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICES, FSMS 2024, together with the 21st International Urban Planning and Environment Trade Fair, TECMA 2024, and the 6th MADRID CITIES FORUM.
In addition to the exhibition part of the International Recovery and Recycling Trade Fair, SRR 2024, there will be an extensive programme of conferences, where qualified experts will address the issues that most concern this important economic segment.
Thus, the 21st National Congress of Recovery and Recycling organised by the Spanish Federation of Recovery and Recycling, FER, the promoter of SRR, has already been confirmed and will be held on 19 June. Other events that will take place within the framework of SRR 2024 are the 4th edition of the Innovation in Recovery Awards, organised by the Spanish Association for the Environmental Treatment of End-of-Life Vehicles, SIGRAUTO. The deadline for nominations is 15 March 2024 and the awards ceremony will take place at the SRR pavilion.
The 10th National Meeting on End-of-Life Vehicle Management and Recycling, organised by SIGRAUTO, will be attended by international speakers from the European Recycling Industries Confederation, EuRIC, and from the main associations of the automotive, aftermarket and circular economy sectors.
The General Assemblies of ANAREVI, AEDRA, REPACAR, ANARPLA, UNE and ANREPAwill also take place , with the participation of professionals from the wood, glass, used cars, paper and plastics sectors.
Finally, an intense schedule of meetings between participating companies, institutions, public bodies and the sector's main associations is being programmed for Tuesday 18 June and the afternoon of Wednesday 19 June, where the participation of ICEX has already been confirmed, which will focus on the cleantech theme and the internationalisation of various projects. They will also be open to all SRR-accredited professional visitors.
