MITECO's catalogue offers home and building automation solutions.
The Ministry for Environmental Sustainability and Demographic Change (MITECO) approved the list of standardised energy efficiency measures, related to automation and control to be adopted in domestic and non-domestic premises. The automatic door industry is closely monitoring this procedure.
The Ministry has approved a catalogue containing 50 technical sheets for companies to determine their potential final consumption reduction. The sheets detail proposed actions, and companies can use them to obtain Energy Saving Certificates (CAE). The catalogue is flexible and new sheets can be added.
The CAE, which is regulated by Royal Decree 36/2023, enables companies with energy saving obligations to fulfil their commitments in a flexible and efficient manner. This is achieved through the direct encouragement of energy efficiency improvements in sectors which consume final energy.
These certificates will result in 41 billion euros of investment in the next ten years. Roughly 30% of this (approximately 12.5 billion euros) will be distributed via measures in various sectors, as categorised in the Integrated National Plan of Energy and Climate (PNIEC). The sectors include industry (61% of the investments), services (19.2%), transport (10.5%), residential (7.4%), and agriculture and fisheries (1.9%).
