The three main goals of the new President of FIMPA
At the general assembly of FIMPA (National Federation of Manufacturers, Installers and Maintainers of Automatic Doors), held on the 29th of June, the member associations elected the new governing body of the federation for the next four years. The new team, led by its President, Javier Pérez, will work with three key objectives.
Javier Pérez (AEPA) was elected as the new President of the FIMPA; Enrique Fernández (AFIPA), Vice-President; Onofre Domingo Egea (AFIPA Murcia), Treasurer; and Luis Ureña (GRECER) and Armando Mathieu (ACEGA), Members.
The new FIMPA governing body will continue to work for the interests of companies in the automatic doors sector, with three key objectives. First of all, to ensure that the products that are placed on the market comply with current regulations (CE marking), to guarantee fair competition among manufacturers and to contribute to the safety of the end consumer.
Secondly, to make companies aware of the dangers of inadequate maintenance and review of doors and gates. And, finally, to ensure that doors and gates are considered machinery, for inclusion in occupational hazard prevention policies, insisting on the importance of the CE mark, as well as their correct maintenance.
Reputed professionals
The new President of FIMPA, Javier Pérez, commented the following: “I embark on this legislature with the assurance that comes from knowing that the governing body is composed of highly reputed professionals, who, through their efforts and commitment, will contribute to the fulfilment of the Federation's objectives. With their support, we will do everything within our power to continue the excellent work undertaken by the outgoing President, Juan Ramírez, in recent years”.
