Industrial Door Manufacturers Boost Contacts With Experts and Specifiers
Industrial door manufacturers are strengthening their relationships with professionals across multiple disciplines, including architecture, engineering, construction, refrigeration, food, technology, and laboratory technicians, to better understand the needs of their customers and adapt the features and performance of their new products to those needs.
Not all industrial doors are the same, and they don’t all have the same requirements. Those for installation in highly specialised businesses, such as pharmaceuticals, automotive and food plants or laboratories, need specific features and functionalities suited to their environment. But manufacturers do not always know in detail in advance the problems of each sector and customer, as several experts warn.
Albert Abós, SpeedDoor’s Sales Manager, explains that “some businesses, such as car companies, have a large investment in materials, machines and robots for their production plants, so they need especially safe and robust doors and enclosures.” While “for other workplaces such as pharmaceutical laboratories or food warehouses water tightness and thermal insulation are priorities, and doors are fundamental parts of the building.”
The Value of Experience
So better contacts with experts and specifiers are increasingly crucial for automated door designers and manufacturers. These specialists can provide tremendously valuable knowledge and enable manufacturers to complete the information they get from their clients and better satisfy the clients’ needs for their premises. For example, “engineers who have designed a new warehouse for a laboratory or a frozen storage facility understand perfectly the requirements for these types of installations and the problems they may encounter in maintaining parameters including temperature, airtightness, and safety.”
