SIMO EDUCACIÓN 2024 presents its 12th Awards for Educational Innovation and Innovative Teaching Experiences
The event was also the setting for the presentation of the four IMPULSO Awards.
SIMO EDUCACIÓN, the International Exhibition of Educational Technology and Innovation, held the presentation of its 12th Educational Innovation Awards on the afternoon of 20th November. The 14 winning Teaching Experiences received their awards in the various categories, as well as the winners of the IMPULSO Awards, at a packed awards ceremony.
Authorities and educational leaders taking part in the event included, Julio Albalad, director of INTEF; Nuria Sabaté, member of the jury and member of the Espiral Association; Rebeca Madero Beviá, Javier Magdaleno; head of the Training, Innovation and Internationalisation Service of the Junta de Castilla y León; Eduardo Díaz, head of the Technology-Based Entrepreneur Area of the Fundación para el Conocimiento Madrid+D (Madrid+D Knowledge Foundation); Félix López Capel, director of Sek Lab Edtech Accele; Javier Palazón, director of Revista 3.0 and member of the jury, and Nuria de Miguel, director of SIMO EDUCACIÓN.
Of the 14 award-winning initiatives, the 6th Award for the Best Innovative Teaching Experience went to the project 'Collaborative Technological Map of Andalusia (Úbeda-Jaén)', which obtained the highest overall score from the jury, and the 6th Prize for the Best Innovative and Technological Teaching Experience Innotech Edu went to ‘Mochileros y mochileras por España. Gamificar por la Igualdad en el Aula del Futuro (Almansa-Albacete)’ (Backpackers in Spain. Gamification towards Equality in the Classroom of the Future).

With the collaboration of the Fundación para el Conocimiento Madrid+D and SEK Education Group, the gala was also the setting for the presentation of the SIMO IMPULSO Awards, the educational entrepreneurship support platform for business projects and start-ups that focus on educational technology.
The Madrid+D Award for Best Business Opportunity went to 'Leoon', while the projects 'DiveInside' and 'Trivilandia' received recognition for the best business model. Finally, the SHOW UP! Award for the best project in terms of technological innovation, new features and application in the education sector went to 'The Green Game'.
Organised by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with EDUCACIÓN 3.0, SIMO EDUCACIÓN 2024 is holding its tenth edition from 19 to 21 November in Hall 5 of the Exhibition Centre. With 92 direct exhibitors and the participation of around 140 companies, it brings together a wide range of players from the EdTech sector and a packed conference schedule with around 100 educational experts and 60 presentations.
