Target Tecnología puts forward a system to deal with hostile drones
In the face of the proliferation of aerial drones that may pose a hostile threat to the safety and security of citizens, the Spanish Air and Space Force has awarded Target Tecnología, a Spanish company specialising in ‘full security’, the tender for the contract for the C-UAS Enforce Air 2 anti-drone system, manufactured by D-Fend Solutions.
The aim of the system is to deal with potential hostile drones, especially during major events, shows, aerial or state activities, as well as the protection of authorities and the general public. Target Technology claims that Enforce Air 2 is the only anti-drone system in the world capable of taking control of a threatening drone, disconnecting it from its pilot and landing it without collateral damage. Pope Francis I already relies on this solution to ensure his safety during international visits.
This anti-drone system, now acquired by the Spanish Air Force, is the improved version of its predecessor Enforce Air, which at the time was awarded the Intersec Homeland Security /Service of the Year 2023 Award. This new version includes improvements such as the increased capacity for the detection of hostile drones in much more diverse environments, and its power to disconnect them from their pilots or land them without collateral damage, both in ‘active’ and ‘passive’ mode. The key difference however, when compared to its predecessor, is it design. It can now be transported in a laptop bag, making the Enforce Air 2 the perfect ally for silent and tactical operations.
