Ramos STS has signed a partnership agreement with one of the European Union's leading textile testing and research laboratories for the research and development of ProteHo single-use fabrics and solutions, to make environmentally sustainable equipment and products.

The research and development of ProteHo single-use fabrics and solutions will enable us to develop environmentally sustainable equipment and products. These can quickly reduce the environmental impact of the currently used slow-degrading non-woven, polyethene or polymer-based fabrics.

“Ramos hopes that this initiative will make our future products more environment-friendly by reducing the impacts caused by the use and disposal of single-use workwear. We want to encourage qualitative control and protection of some processes and people, by developing solutions like Sanitary Protection (SP) for the health sector and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for industry, for exposure to Biological, Chemical or Nuclear hazards,” the company says.

It will implement measures to use faster degrading fabrics, generate more environmentally friendly waste during the degradation process and post-decomposition. “This project will include investment to enable us to provide solutions such as SP or PPE for the different industries that currently require ProteHo products from Ramos STS.”
