Occupational Safety Sales of PPE Products Grow Exponentially
The Occupational Safety sector billed around €800 million in Spain, according to the latest figures for 2019. Javier Muñoz is chairman of Asepal, the Association of Personal Protective Equipment Companies. He explains that post-Covid figures are not yet available. However, he adds that “obviously, sales of PPE products have grown exponentially.”
The chairman of the Association of Personal Protective Equipment Companies warns that “there are no solid and reliable sources with more up-to-date information, due to the proliferation of new companies entering the security sector, with no technical background.”
So, Javier Muñoz refers to the latest data for the sector, which in 2019 “in Spain had a turnover of around €800 million.” Although he qualifies that by saying the post-Covid figures are not yet available, he adds that “obviously, the sales of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) products has grown exponentially.” He concludes that “as the pandemic wanes, we can expect the figures for the sector to stabilise gradually.”
