Groupe RG enters the Irish Market with the Acquisition of PPE Specialist
Groupe RG’s expansion across Europe continues into new markets with the acquisition of the leading distributor of PPE in Ireland, MJ Scannell. This is the Group’s third acquisition in 2022 and is testament to the strategic ambition of becoming the independent leader in specialised distribution of PPE in Europe.
Founded 40 years ago by the father of the current co-directors Gavin & Niall Scannell, MJ Scannell Ltd is an iconic and trusted name in PPE distribution in Ireland, growing constantly over the years to reach 20 million euros in turnover and become the leading specialised PPE distributor in Ireland.
From its headquarters in Dublin, MJ Scannell caters to a wide range of clients across Ireland through its field sales network and digital solutions. The company, a real specialist in PPE, is particularly focused on provided clients with the most advanced advice and services. MJ Scannell employs 60 people and operated warehouses in Dublin and Cork totalling 3,000m².
