A new device will complement the emergency triangle’s purpose
dBLux is developing a pre-signalling system comprised of high-power LEDs, that warn of the presence of a stopped vehicle on the road. This is a device to complement the emergency triangles, that will be mandatory starting January 2024.
Protecting people whose job involves a car or a motorbike is essential. The CEO of Technology & Security Developments, Adrián Navas, advises that “many problems can arise on the road that endanger our own safety and the safety of others”; and one of the main hazards are “breakdowns and the accidents derived by them”. Therefore, he explained that “at TSD, through the brand dBlux, we are working on developing an emergency lighting device, Safe Light, to improve our visibility on the road when there is a breakdown, thus reducing the risk of collision on major roads”.
Safe Light is an emergency signalling system comprised of high-power LEDs, that warn of the presence of a stopped vehicle on the road. “The biggest advantage of our product is its small size, which makes it easy to store, both for cars and motorbikes”, said Navas.
According to Navas, the device “is still under development” and the company hopes to “begin marketing it within the next few months”. It is placed on top of the car with a magnet and it flashes. Its magnetic system adapts to any surface, “both under normal and under unfavourable conditions”.
