Dahua Technology Creates a Smart, Open NVR Ecosystem
Driven by the development of AI (artificial intelligence) and IoT (internet of things) technology, the NVR (network video recorder) is no longer just the traditional data storage centre in today’s CCTV systems: It plays an increasingly important role in connecting front-end devices, alarm sensors and other equipment.
From the initial connection requirements of third-party IPC and PTZ vendors and the integration requirements of platform and alarm sensor manufacturers to algorithm and application developers' alliance requirements, the NVR is playing an increasingly important role in connecting front-end devices, alarm sensors and other equipment.
As a video-centric, smart IoT solution and service provider, Dahua Technology has been actively cooperating with third-party hardware and software partners worldwide through NVR open integration, aiming to build a smart and open NVR ecosystem.
While jointly creating value for customers and users, the NVR ecosystem also brings technology partners together to explore more possibilities. Making the NVR available for third-party devices and platforms not only allows software and hardware manufacturers and third-party cameras to connect to the NVR via ONVIF and CGI/SDK, respectively. It also allows users to customise the GUI style, run their own algorithms and develop applications on the NVR according to their needs and budgets.
