SICUR CYBER analyses the challenges and impacts of cybersecurity at SICUR 2024
SICUR CYBER analyses and presents the latest advances in cybersecurity from 27 February to 1 March at IFEMA MADRID.
Experts address cybersecurity from the technical, legal, training and law enforcement perspectives.
SICUR 2024, the International Security Exhibition organised by IFEMA MADRID from 27 February to 1 March, has announced the programme for the SICUR CYBER space, where over the course of four days cybersecurity experts will delve into the latest advances given the growing importance of this subject in the professional and social environment in an increasingly digitalised and connected world.
SICUR CYBER, organised in collaboration with the specialist magazines Seguritecnia and Red Seguridad, presents a full programme of lectures and round-table discussions where authoritative voices from companies and institutions will address issues related to cybersecurity from technical, legal, educational and law enforcement perspectives.
The programme will begin on Tuesday, 27 February with a speech by lawyer Pedro Fernández on 'Innovation and public funding for IT projects’. Following his appearance, the round table 'Regulatory horizon: NIS 2 and CER transpositions’ will be held, moderated by César Álvarez, Project Coordinator at the Borredá Foundation, with the participation of Antonio Pérez, technical advisor of the National Cryptologic Centre, Rosa Marí Tourís, head of the Regulatory Service of the CNPI, and a representative of OCC. There will also be a lecture presented by Elisa Yamaguchi from SOSAFE on 'Cyber-manipulation: ¿How can we fight the hacking of our brains?’. The first day will end with the dialogue on 'Cybersecurity in a connected world’ between Guillermo Obispo, coordinator of the Cybersecurity Centre of the Madrid City Council, and José Valiente, director and head of Coordination and Communication of the Industrial Cybersecurity Centre.
Wednesday, 28 February, the second day of the exhibition, will begin with the talk 'Cybersecurity for Security: we are finally on track', followed by the second lecture presented by Axis Communications titled 'Cybersecurity in the life cycle of security devices'. In the late morning the ‘National Security Forum: a Guide to Cybersecure Physical Security’ moderated by Ana Borredá, president of the Borredá Foundation, will be held with the participation of Elena de la Calle from the National Security Department, a representative of the National Cryptologic Centre, Ricardo López, coordinator of the Security Culture Group, and Alfonso Bilbao, coordinator of the Security Culture Group. Natxo Rojo, Business Director at Dorlet Security will round off the morning with 'Recommendations for a Cybersecure Physical Security solution'. After lunch, Enrique González, deputy director of the magazines Red Seguridad and Seguritecnia, will introduce us to the 'National cybersecurity ecosystem', while Pablo López, head of the Cybersecurity Regulations and Services Area of the National Cryptologic Centre will bring the day to a close with his presentation on the 'National Security Scheme'.
On Thursday, 29 February, the conference will focus on the training and certifications of Security Engineers in Cybersecurity applied to Physical Security Systems where the needs, opportunities and methods to achieve them will be addressed with Ricardo Cañizares from the Association of Security Companies and Gustavo Frega, from ISACA, Enrique Bilbao, from AEINSE (Association of Security Engineers) and Alberto Tovar, from CEUSS (Business Confederation of Security and Services Users), moderated by Raúl Aguileraa from AEINSE. Finally, the morning will conclude with a presentation on the importance of cybersecurity in security delivered by Casmar. In the afternoon, experts from the Guardia Civil, the National Police and the Catalan Police Forces (Mossos d'Esquadra) will discuss ‘Cybercrime strategies for law enforcement'.
SICUR CYBER will end on Friday, 1 March with a discussion on ‘Social Engineering and Physical Security' with Rafael López, president and rector of Evidentia University of Behavioral and Forensic Sciences, followed by a speech by Pedro Pablo López, president of Continuam, on the ‘Treatment of Personal Data for Security Purposes'. Finally, José Luis González from the technical office of the Directorate General of Guardia Civil and a representative of Women 4 Cyber will discuss 'Training and capacity building in cybersecurity', moderated by Juanjo Arenas, chief editor of the Red Seguridad.
The SICUR CYBER programme will also include presentations of technological solutions sponsored by AXIS, CASMAR; DORLET and SOSAFE, located in the connecting hub between Halls 8 and 10.
From 27 February to 1 March IFEMA MADRID is hosting SICUR, which is held every two years, and which for the second consecutive edition will also be available on the digital platform SICUR LIVEConnect.
