Legal bases

The call for the SICUR 2024 Innovation Gallery is developed in accordance with the bases detailed below.

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

All companies that are direct exhibitors at SICUR 2024 will be eligible to participate, and may request the inclusion of their products or services in the Gallery following the procedure described above.

If the product or service presented is manufactured or patented by a different company than the direct exhibitor, the express written consent of that other company will be required, authorizing the SICUR exhibitor to present its product or service.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES PRESENTED

The products or services presented:

• They must be exhibited at SICUR 2024.
• They must have been marketed in Spain after February 25, 2022.
• In the case of products that within the regulatory field are subject to CE Marking and/or Mark of Conformity, the exhibitor must present documentation accrediting these certifications, indicating the notified body from which they were obtained.
  Products that are subject to this certification and do not provide the documentation will not be considered in the selection. In the case of products not subject to these certifications, the exhibitor shall provide the Test and Classification Reports of the products tested in the laboratories accredited by ENAC. These test certificates will be especially valued for the selection.
• For the purposes of the Gallery, a product is defined as a novel product, understanding as such that which is novel with respect to the State of the Art. In this case, the State of the Art refers to the period up to the last SICUR. A product is therefore will be novel with respect to the State of the Art, as defined above, as that which, in addition to being able to be manufactured and marketed, presents some difference with respect to the products known
  and marketed at the date defined by the State of the Art. Such differences must present some advantage, with respect to the known products, either from the constructive, technical or economic point of view. From the constructive point of view because it presents, for example, some advantage at the time of assembly (simpler assembly, fewer elements, etc...). From the technical point of view, for example, because of its functionality (it has an unknown function, it combines several functions in such a way that it requires a certain inventive capacity or intellectual effort, i.e. it is not very obvious to an expert in the field). From the economic point of view because, for example, it may be economically more favorable in its manufacturing process
• They must be applicable to the Security sector, and specifically to one of the exhibition sectors of SICUR 2024. On the other hand, the applicant company must indicate in which SICUR security area: SECURITY, WORKPLACE SAFETY , FIRE , PREVENTION AND EMERGENCY, CYBER SECURITY, the product or service provided is identified. If the product or service is related to several areas, choose the one that most identifies it and indicate one and only one of the areas listed.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Complete the application form.

Send to galeriasicur@ifema.es the required documentation and the report with the characteristics detailed below.

• Language: Spanish
• Length: 5 pages maximum
• Format: MSWord font arial 12. Justified margins: 3 cm. Automatic hyphens. Single line spacing.
• Headings:
  1. Product name.
  2. Description of the product and its applications.
  3. Detailed explanation of the novel aspect and the added value it provides.
  4. Document certifying that the CE marking and mark of conformity have been obtained, if applicable.
  5. Other data of interest (awards, tests...).
  6. Date of 1st commercialization

Deadline: 20 NOVEMBER 2023.

Submit:

• Document accrediting the obtaining of the CE marking and mark of conformity if applicable.
• Technical description of the new product including images and material in digital format.
• Certificate indicating the start date of commercialization of the product or service in Spain.
• Certificates of tests carried out by accredited laboratories or laboratories of recognized national or international prestige.
• Certifications granted, if applicable, by Official Entities or Insurance Companies.
• Awards, honorable mentions obtained in other competitions, shows or exhibitions.

IT IS ESSENTIAL, IN THE CASE OF SUBMITTING MATERIALS IN A LANGUAGE OTHER THAN SPANISH, THAT THEY BE ACCOMPANIED BY A TRANSLATION INTO SPANISH.

Each exhibitor may submit as many products or services as they wish, in separate applications, provided they meet all the requirements.

The same product or service can only be presented once and in relation to only one sector.

COMPOSITION AND FUNCTIONS OF THE JURY

The Jury will be composed of distinguished personalities linked to the Security sector in the different sectors represented at the fair. The functions of the Jury are the following:

• To analyse the different applications.
• To evaluate each product or service.
• To develop a final report containing its decision on the selected products.

THE JURY'S DECISION WILL BE IRREVOCABLE.

DATES AND DEADLINES

Applications from exhibiting companies must be received before NOVEMBER 20, 2023. The Jury's deliberation with the list of selected products will be made public prior to the start of SICUR 2024.

• Deadline for registration: NOVEMBER 20, 2023.
• SICUR will send you an Acknowledgement of Receipt as proof that your application for the Gallery has been submitted. If you do not receive it within a maximum period of 3 days, please contact 91 722 53 52
• Please submit only one project per application
• IMPORTANT: applications for product presentation without the corresponding memory will not be considered.

IMPORTANT: IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU SEND TO galeriasicur@ifema.es THE REPORT OF THE PRODUCT OR SERVICE PRESENTED WITH THE SAME NAME INDICATED IN THE FORM YOU HAVE JUST FILLED IN.
