

SEMANA DE LA EDUCACIÓN (Education Week) showcases offers from more than 220 exhibitors at Spain’s leading education sector event

More than 100 activities have been scheduled to take place from 26 to 30 March 2025 in Halls 3 and 5 at IFEMA MADRID It will include AULA, SALÓN DE POSTGRADO Y FORMACIÓN CONTINUA (International Higher Education and Ongoing Training Fair) and SCHOOL DAYS fairs and the new DIGIeLEARNING event
SEMANA DE LA EDUCACIÓN (EDUCATION WEEK) 2025 is back with the most extensive overview of Education and Training in Spain. From 26 to 30 March, IFEMA MADRID will play host to 220 participating companies, bodies and institutions, as well as more than 100 parallel activities scheduled to take place during the event. All this is a unique opportunity for discovering the academic courses available at the many participating centres, aimed to satisfy current market demand, to learn about professions linked to industrial sectors, customised education proposals, innovative learning methodologies connected to the professional world, vocational training and the all the latest in online learning, among others.
Promoted by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and organised by IFEMA MADRID, the theme of this edition will be "Multiply Your Future with Mathematics and STEM Vocations". The aim is to show the agreeable side of Mathematics, encourage young people to study it and to opt for qualifications in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), which still account for low ratios, particularly among women. According to a recent study published by CYD Foundation, only 18% of students on degree courses related to Engineering and Technology are women, and only 12% in Information Technology studies.
The tenth edition of SEMANA DE LA EDUCACION (EDUCATION WEEK) is the place to find out about the latest in academic education from both public and private universities, vocational training centres and other higher education institutions. Also, there will be language academies, professions in the armed forces, trade schools, student services, and more. There will also be a selection of schools, urban camps and extracurricular activities, as well as postgraduate studies, and e-learning centres and providers.
AULA, the main venue for participants in the SEMANA DE LA EDUCACION (EDUCATION WEEK), is a prominent showcase for current educational and training offerings. It features the participation of Madrid's public universities, the most prestigious private universities, as well as the best programmes in vocational training, language studies, study abroad opportunities, and more. In all cases, this is geared towards attractive career prospects, helping our young people make the best choices regarding their studies. In this regard, the Guidance Area of AULA, located in Hall 5, is a must for all visitors to the expo, where they will receive free, personalised information on the current academic pathways that best suit their interests.
Additionally, several government bodies relevant to the education sector will be present at AULA. Alongside the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, the following ministries support the event: the Ministry of Science and Universities; the Ministry of Defence; the Ministry of Agriculture; the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, through the SEPE; and the Ministry of Equality, represented by the Women’s Institute, as well as other institutions such as the Maritime Rescue and Safety Society, the Social Institute of the Navy, and the Community of Madrid.
Representatives of the bodies and security forces of the State will also be there, such as the Army, the Civil Guard, the National Police, the Municipal Police of Madrid, and the Fire Department.
As well as these opportunities, Vocational Training also takes centre stage at the fair, promoting courses, job opportunities, and training in trades through specialised educational centres and sector associations such as the Spanish Confederation of Automobile Repair Workshops and Related Services (CETRAA), the Labour Foundation of the Construction Sector, the Metal Foundation for Training, Qualification, and Employment, and companies like IBERIA, RENFE, ADIF, and the Spanish Federation of Elevators (FEEDA), among others.
Meanwhile, the SALÓN INTERNACIONAL DE POSTGRADO Y FORMACIÓN CONTINUA (International Higher Education and ongoing training fair) is an important destination for those wishing to enhance their curriculum through various proposals for university postgraduate academic training and from other centres.
Furthermore, on SCHOOLS DAY, families will find information and topics of interest to their children, including training proposals, extracurricular activities, and roundtable discussions addressing current issues affecting society.
The new DIGIeLEARNING Fair rounds out the SEMANA DE LA EDUCACION (EDUCATION WEEK), catering to a rapidly growing sector that merits own specific commercial space to showcase its offerings. It is a space where visitors can learn about the latest trends and technologies in the field of e-learning, and check out the most disruptive experiences and projects.
. Programme of activities
Within the extensive line-up of the more than 100 activities to be held during EDUCATION WEEK, notable events organised by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training will take place at their stand in Hall 3, which will host a selection of interactive activities. Among them there will be daily broadcasts from school radio stations, along with the initiative known as 'Escape AULA 2025,' in which students from registered schools and colleges will attempt to overcome challenges and solve puzzles related to academic and career guidance at the institutional stands present, garnering key information for making decisions about their educational and career futures. The fair will also be the chosen venue for the STEM awards ceremony.
"In addition, within the context of the fair, the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training's stand will host talks and meetings with students and teachers, led by well-known content creators, educational and cultural influencers from various digital platforms. They will share their experiences regarding digital platforms as learning tools, as well as sessions on creating educational and informative content, aimed at teachers and young people interested in using new technologies for learning. These meetings will feature the participation of David Calle from 'Unicoos', María Jesús Villanueva 'Susi Profe', Jorge Martín 'Aprueba con Jorge', and Luz Roncal, a Doctor of Mathematics.
In line with this edition's thematic focus of the fair, 'Multiply Your Future with Mathematics and STEM Careers', the State School Council—under the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training—will present some new materials aimed at approaching Mathematics from a new perspective, both for families, with the presentation of some guidelines on how to approach Mathematics at home and turn it into a fun adventure, and for students.
On this same theme, there will be other activities in various areas of the fair, showcasing the connection between Art and Mathematics, Mathematics and stock market predictions, and the applications of matrices in websites and search engines. Additionally, there will be activities to promote studies related to AI and chatbots, along with a more scientific showcase of a dissection table to demonstrate how technological resources contribute to revolutionising the field of Anatomy. Likewise, there will be presentations on art in video games and analysis of the sports industry. The fair will also focus on artistic education, highlighting the career paths offered by Art and Illustration, as well as the role of art in video games.
Furthermore, there will be informative content to introduce the new Vocational Training, which emphasises emerging sectors such as cybersecurity, renewable energies, smart cities, urban sustainability, and Artificial Intelligence—this last one also applied to e-learning—among others. In the Equality Room, the Women's Institute (under the Ministry of Equality) has scheduled a comprehensive agenda, presenting experiences such as social networks as a safe space for everyone; the presence of women in the Armed Forces; and scientific vocations.
It’s also worth highlighting the Guidance Area of the Fair, located in Hall 5, where qualified staff will provide visitors with the most suitable information to guide them in their professional future.
On SCHOOLS DAY, there will be a giant chess set and various tables with boards to host tournaments, promoting this sporting activity from the beginning of young people's education.
The Spanish Confederation of Parents' Associations (CEAPA), in collaboration with qualified experts, will address topics over the five days of the fair, such as "Teaching Mathematics through Role-Playing Games," "Education in the 21st Century," and "Participation in Regional School Councils.”
Additionally, CEAPA will present its traditional awards on 28 March, recognising individuals and organisations that have excelled as advocates public education. On this occasion, special distinctions will be awarded to the Educational Community of Valencia for their exemplary solidarity during the DANA (severe weather event), and to journalist David Broncano.
New Schedule
This time SEMANA DE LA EDUCACION (EDUCATION WEEK) 2025 has changed its schedule. Thus, on its first two days, 26 and 27 March, it will open from 10:00 am to 19:00 pm; on Friday, 28, and Saturday, 29, from 10:00 am to 20:00 pm; and on Sunday, 30, from 10:00 am to 15:00 pm.
Finally, coinciding with SEMANA DE LA EDUCACION (EDUCATION WEEK), the 14th edition of MADRID ES CIENCIA will take place from 27 to 29 March in Hall 1 at IFEMA MADRID, aiming to promote and raise awareness of scientific vocations, organised by the Fundación madri+d, an institution under the Community of Madrid.
