Organised by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with Alimarket, the inaugural edition will take place on 5 and 6 November 2025, establishing Madrid as a key meeting point between Europe and Latin America for the private label industry.
PRIVEL, the new trade fair dedicated exclusively to the private label sector, will host its first edition on 5 and 6 November 2025 at IFEMA MADRID. The event marks the official launch of its International Buyers Programme, a strategic commercial initiative designed to serve as a vital bridge between Europe and Latin America, fostering internationalisation and unlocking access to new markets.
PRIVEL: A gateway for global private label growth
Organised by IFEMA MADRID and Alimarket, PRIVEL 2025 anticipates the participation of buyers from over 20 countries. The International Buyers Programme will offer tailored B2B meetings between exhibitors and key national and international retailers and distributors. With a particular focus on the LATAM market, the initiative is set to connect high-level decision-makers at a critical moment for the expansion and penetration of private label products.
The programme is curated by Alimarket Publications with a view to optimising the buyer profile and delivering a focused and effective meeting agenda, maximising commercial potential and return on investment. An exclusive, results-driven networking area will bring together leading professionals from across the private label industry to exchange insights on emerging trends, innovative retail strategies, and evolving commercial models, all in a space designed to facilitate meaningful partnerships and real business outcomes.
Latin America shows strong interest in PRIVEL 2025
With nine months to go until the launch, PRIVEL has already confirmed the participation of key players in the International Buyers Programme from across the retail sector. These include: FEMSA (Mexico), Cencosud (Argentina), COTO (Argentina), Supermercados Peruanos (Peru), GTA – Grupo de Tiendas Asociadas (Guatemala), Supermercados Gama (Venezuela), Cooperación Favorita (Ecuador), Centro Nacional Cuesta (Dominican Republic), Grupo Ramos (Dominican Republic), Retail, S.A. – Grupo Vierci (Paraguay), SMU (Chile), Corporación Favorita (Ecuador), Hipermaxi (Bolivia), EMD (Switzerland), Selex Gruppo Commerciale (Italy), Colruyt (Belgium), COOP Sapporo (Japan), Kowa (Japan), and EMD (AG), which includes Euromadi.
Francisco de la Roza, Commercial Manager at Supermercados Peruanos, commented following confirmation of his participation in the programme: “At Supermercados Peruanos, the largest supermarket chain in Peru with over 1,300 stores nationwide, we’re very keen to continue developing our private label portfolio. That’s why we’ll be at PRIVEL, to explore the proposals from Spanish manufacturers across a wide range of categories.”
Pablo Molinar, from the MF Private Labels team at FEMSA P&H, added: “Right now, we’re working to make Mexico a country where high-quality own brands are available to everyone. At FEMSA, with more than 24,000 stores and over 135 years of history, we’re excited to take part in the first edition of PRIVEL Madrid and look forward to attracting major companies to the Mexican market.”
The first fair dedicated exclusively to private labels
Spain currently leads Europe in private label market share and growth, with private brands accounting for 50.8% of the shopping basket, 7.8 points ahead of Germany, according to the latest Circana report. With its proven leadership and deep expertise in the sector, along with its natural connection to Latin America, IFEMA MADRID is the ideal host for PRIVEL.
Under the banner ‘My Private Label Madrid’, the fair will bring together more than 100 companies across a purpose-built exhibition space divided into Food and Non-Food sectors, each designed to meet the specific commercial, logistical and operational needs of exhibitors and visitors alike. In addition, PRIVEL will host the first Private Label Congress, organised by Alimarket. The congress will serve as a hub for thought leadership within the private label industry, offering expert-led talks, case studies, and panel discussions covering trends, sustainability, innovation, and consumer behaviour.
Taking place on 5 and 6 November 2025 at the IFEMA Recinto Ferial, PRIVEL is poised to become the flagship professional event for the private label business, a strategic platform for manufacturers, retailers and distributors alike, built around three core pillars: exhibition, congress, and buyers.
