IFEMA MADRID set to dazzle with the magic of Starlite
The best boutique festival in the world will leave its home in Marbella for the first time with its Christmas by Starlite brand to delight Madrid with excellent music courtesy of great international stars.
Sting is the first artist to confirm he will perform at the Christmas by Starlite festival at IFEMA MADRID on Friday, 15 December, with a special performance of My Songs, his acclaimed world tour.
The Starlite Group and IFEMA MADRID have agreed to work together to bring the magic of the Marbella Starlite Occident festival to Madrid in a new format, Christmas by Starlite. A set of amazing concerts wrapped in a magical experience featuring international and national stars of the highest calibre. It will be held on 14, 15 and 16 December in Hall 6 at IFEMA MADRID. This extraordinary, unique proposal event will raise the capital's musical, cultural and leisure bar this Christmas.
The first big name to join the Christmas by Starlite lineup at IFEMA MADRID is renowned British musician Sting who will give a special concert of My Songs, his acclaimed world tour, on Friday, 15 December.
Sting’s My Songs concert is a lush, dynamic show featuring his most beloved songs, written throughout the 17 Grammy winner’s illustrious career with The Police and solo. After selling out tickets for their six-night shows at the Palladium in London, My Songs was called a "master class" by The Times: "Sting remains an undeniably skilled performer with a gold catalogue”. The concert, a musical journey through hits such as "Fields of Gold", "Shape of my Heart", "Roxanne", and "Demolition Man", was described as "a rare delight" by The Telegraph, and The Guardian praised Sting for his "sublime pop alchemy". Fans will also hear "Englishman In New York", "Every Breath You Take", "Message In A Bottle", and many more.
During his tour, an electric rock band will accompany Sting, and the guest artist for this concert will be Joe Sumner.
