The Trade Fair, which in the last edition received a large number of Portuguese visitors, specifically 50 por ciento of the international professionals, is becoming a reference for the Portuguese market.

Scarcely two months away from the event -13 to 16 March 2019, at Feria de Madrid-, MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID has already exceeded by 5 por ciento the surface area occupied in the latest edition in 2017. The expectations for this 15th edition of Spain’s Leading International Trade Fair for the Automotive Industry, targeting trade visitors from the Iberian Peninsula, Latin America and North Africa, lead to optimism. IFEMA, the event organiser, forecasts that there will be over 60,000 professional visitors, representing over 30,000 shops from Spain and Portugal, to learn about the latest trends for the shops of the future.

MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID also expects to exceed 650 exhibitor companies, some of which are Meyle, Pemebla, Osram, Hella, Grupo Soledad, Tiresur, Safame, Bosh, Delphi, Schaeffler, Valeo, Continental, Gruppo Andel, ASER, Cecauto, Dipart, PSA Distrigo, Recalvi, Grupo Serca, Comercial, Impormovil, VW Pro Service, Zaphiro, Cepsa, Total, Brembo, Cojali, Magneti Marelli or GT Motive.

The Trade Fair, consolidated as the main business platform for this industry in Southern Europe, represents an especially attractive commercial opportunity for the Portuguese market, with which MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID has close ties through its trade association, ANECRA, the Portuguese National Association of Automotive Sales and Repair Companies, the last convention of which was held on the 9 and 10 November in Lisbon and was attended by MOTORTEC AUTOMEKANIKA MADRID.

The event, the last edition of which received a large number of professionals from Portugal, specifically 50 por ciento of the international visitors, will have an Iberian action plan. MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID will organise, along with Carsmarobe, the 2nd Competition for Best Motortec Technician, which in addition to acknowledging and rewarding the best technician from Spain, for the first time will also reward the best technician from Portugal, among other initiatives.

MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID will again offer a set of tools for exhibiting companies: communication campaigns, programs for guest purchasers, B2B meetings, workshops for presentations, etc. in order to provide a productive and profitable experience. Visiting professionals will have access to the most updated industry offerings, in addition to services that will make their stay at the Trade Fair easier and more efficient.

The commercial exhibition will be complemented with a busy schedule of professional meetings, among which are a conference on road freight transportation, of great interest for Spanish carriers, organised by the specialised magazine Todotransporte, on the 15 March 2019. During this conference various industry agents will share their success cases, and Government representatives will explain their policies aimed at resolving some of the main problems affecting Spanish carriers.

During the event “A new mobility scenario”, by the trade association CEES, Spanish Confederation of Service Station Entrepreneurs, will look at issues pertaining to the new business opportunities for service stations thanks to the increase of alternative energies applied to mobility.

The Fair will also host a Meeting of Shop Networks, which will focus on the current reality of these Networks and the challenges faced by their managers, member repair shops and suppliers, given the disruptive phenomena that comprise the new mobility ecosystem. An as-yet unpublished study on the “Knowledge and perception of Brand of the Shop Networks operating in Spain” will be presented, the result of in-depth research performed among shops and automotive owners.

Especially important is the first Congress of Industrial Vehicle Shops, which will analyse the maintenance and repair trends for industrial vehicles, from the perspective and challenges of the new passenger and freight mobility. A brand-new industry study on “Shops and the industrial vehicle maintenance market in Spain” will be presented and the keys to the efficiency and profitability of shops and their suppliers over the short, medium and long term will be analysed.

Lastly, among the intense schedule of activities, the trade association of official dealers, FACONAUTO, will hold the 2nd Observatory of Official Post-Sales, on the 15 March 2019, within the MOTORTEC AUTOMECHANIKA MADRID conference program. The conference, which will bring together the best experts and over 200 industry professionals, will discuss the new challenges for official dealers and forecast what can be expected over the medium-term. The purpose of the Observatory is to inform on the essential data that makes up post-sales in our country, so that official dealers can make strategic decisions on an essential part of their business.
