MOTORTEC, honorary prize winner of the 4th Commitment to Sustainability in the Aftermarket Awards

MOTORTEC will be presented with an honorary award in recognition of its commitment to responsible and sustainable aftermarket initiatives and commitment to excellence

A total of 34 submissions have been received for this year’s "Commitment to Sustainability in the Aftermarket" Awards, which will be presented on 17 December at IFEMA MADRID

The Organising Committee of the Commitment to Sustainability in the Aftermarket Awards is pleased to announce that MOTORTEC, the leading international trade fair for the automotive aftermarket sector, will be presented with the Honorary Award in its fourth year. The winners of this edition will be announced at the awards ceremony, scheduled for Tuesday, 17 December at 12:30 p.m. in the Sala Retiro at IFEMA MADRID. This event will form part of the traditional Aftermarket Christmas lunch. The ceremony will be presided over by Marta Solano, a presenter for TVE.

The associations responsible for these awards, ANCERA, SERNAUTO, CETRAA and CONEPA, have decided to recognise MOTORTEC for its role in promoting the visibility and value of the sector. MOTORTEC has played a pivotal role in establishing a forum for knowledge sharing, relationship building and the advancement of sustainable initiatives that drive the growth and evolution of the aftermarket. A sustained commitment that extends beyond the duration of the event, demonstrating consistent involvement and contribution to a range of events and initiatives pertaining to the sector.

Nominations

The fourth Commitment to Sustainability in the Aftermarket Awards received a total of 34 nominations from companies in the automotive aftermarket sector (manufacturers, spare parts distributors and workshops). These nominations demonstrate a firm commitment to sustainability in its various facets.

The applications have been evaluated by a professional and independent jury comprising experts from leading organisations, including Carmen Alsina, Director of Communication, Institutional Relations and Sustainability of CEOE; Francisco Vidal, Director of Economy and Sectorial Policies of CEPYME; Francisco Marín, President of the Innovative Companies Forum; and Manuel Martínez, President of the HAZ Foundation. The following individuals were also in attendance: Beatriz Sánchez, General Director of the Máshumano Foundation; Mar de Andrés, Director of the Social Area and Volunteering of the Repsol Foundation; Cristina Aliaga, Director of the Companies Department of the Seres Foundation; and Ainhöa Lizarbe, Director of Institutional Relations and Communication of SIGAUS/GENCI.

Awards will be presented to one manufacturer, one distributor and one workshop in each of the three categories: the impact on people, the impact on the environment and sustainable innovation.

To recognise the efforts made by this type of company, the special "MicroPyMe" award will once again be presented to the company with between 1 and 10 employees that promotes sustainability in its operations.
