MOTORTEC 2025, announces the Innovation Gallery Awards.

The primary goal of the Innovation Gallery Awards, under Motortec showcase unlocks the value of the most innovative and novel products and services exhibited at each edition of the trade fair.

The idea behind the Innovation Gallery Awards is to encourage innovation in the practical application of know-how and technologies in industrial development, while also underscoring and popularising significant advances in this new material. It brings recognition for the efforts and investments made by aftersales market companies in the fields of research, development, and innovation.

The Innovation Gallery Awards represents a further tool that exhibitors can employ to maximise their commercial impact and optimise returns on their investment in the trade fair. It also serves to demonstrate the dynamic innovation, technological excellence and cutting-edge developments seen in the sector.

The aim of the Innovation Gallery Awards to boost and promote those products and services which stand out due to their technological innovations or their design, organization, functionality, or instrumental novelty for introducing improvements

Rules for participation

PARTICIPANTS
All companies that are direct exhibitors at Motortec 2025 are entitled to participate in the Innovation Gallery Awards.
If the product or service presented belongs to another manufacturer or patent owner, the express written consent of the latter will be required, authorising the exhibitor to present their product.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES PRESENTED
- Should be exhibited at MOTORTEC 2025.
- Should have been designed and intended for their mass manufacture.
- Should have its commercialization initiated after July 1st, 2023. They must comply with applicable legislation. (See point 12 LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS)
- Should have an innovating nature, "innovating" will be defined as any quality of the products which involve a special technological design, function or instrument that enhances improvements of performance in one of the awards categories.
PRODUCT EVALUATION CRITERIA FOR PRODUCT SELECTION
- The evaluation criteria (anonymous, individual and independent of each member of the jury) that will be taken into account and their weighting for the final evaluation are as follows:
  - Degree of innovation
  - Functionality (Installation and use)
  - Design
  - Sustainability
CATEGORIES OF THE CONTEST
- All products or services must belong to one of the following categories
  - Solutions and technologies for sustainable mobility and circular economy
  - Electrical and electronic components
  - Mechanical components
  - Maintenance components
  - Equipment and tools for the workshop
  - Service and washing stations
  - Body components
  - Services or platforms for management, training, diagnosis and information in the workshop
DEFINITION OF THE COMPETITION CATEGORIES
- Below is a detailed description of each of the 2025 Innovation Gallery Awards categories, to make it easier to choose the right category for eachof the products submitted to the competition:
  - Sustainable mobility solutions and technologies (electric, hybrid, natural gas, hydrogen, etc.) and circular economy (remanufactured products, energy recovery, eco-design, circular materials, etc.).
  - Electrical and electronic components: lighting, instrumentation, sensors, engine management systems, electrical equipment, control units, batteries, electrical accessories (air conditioning, infotainment, navigation), adas and cooperative systems.
  - Mechanical components: innovations related to the engine, gearbox, steering, suspension and any other mechanical element.
  - Maintenance components: those that must be checked at a certain kilometer interval, within the preventive maintenance of the vehicle according to the manufacturer's specifications, such as: oil, spark plugs, shock absorbers, filters, brakes, tires, timing belt, etc.
  - Workshop equipment and tools: verification and measurement equipment, tyre mounting, work clothes, lifts, tools, etc.
  - Service and washing stations: car wash tunnels, fuels, lubricants, equipment for service stations, storage and refuelling of alternative fuels, etc.
  - Body components: paint, windows, headlights, body panels and elements, etc.
  - Services or platforms for management, training, diagnosis and information in the workshop: it solutions for sales, inspections and repairs, damage assessment, diagnostic equipment, etc.
PROCEDURES
- Open only to MOTORTEC 2025 exhibitors. The company must own the patent and/or the marketing rights of the product / service. If not, it must have the written authorization of the company owning the patent or the marketing rights.
- Each exhibitor can present more than one product, filling in by separate forms, if each individual product fulfils the prerequisites. The same product can only be submitted once and only in one category.
- Each company may submit a maximum of 2 products / services for each category.
- Inscription fees are €491 + VAT (1) per company /category. This fee is compulsory and will not be reimbursed regardless of whether the product is a winner or not. The inscription will be shown on your Account Statement

  (1) For companies established in the Spanish territory (excluding Canaries, Ceuta, and Melilla): 10% VAT not included. For the rest of companies this operation is not subject to Spanish VAT. For European Union companies, the exhibitor will be responsible for paying the applicable VAT in the country of incorporation.
DOCUMENTATION
- The Innovation Gallery Awards Form must be filled in for each individual product presented, together with the documentation indicated therein, clearly describing the innovative features of the producto submitted, the added value it contributes and specifying if it has already obtained any special distinctions or awards and any other additional and pertinent data.
- Images and Informative or descriptive material of the product must be given in along with the Registration Form. The documents must be in Spanish or if not, they should include a translation into Spanish. They can be only on computer format. This material will not be returned to the participant.
- The participating company will have to present a certificate which states whether the product / service is currently being marketed and, the date on which its marketing was initiated.
- Proof of payment of registration fee.
COMPOSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PANEL OF JUDGES
- The Panel of Judges of the Innovation Gallery is presided by the Director of MOTORTEC 2025, and it comprises representatives from Technological Centers, Universities, Consultancy and Technical Press. No member of the panel of judges can be related to any of the presented products or participating companies.
- The responsibilities of the Panel of Judges will be the following:
  - Analyse the different applications.
  - Value each product or service.
  - Prepare a final document indicating the winner products.
  - Guarantee confidentiality of information received and analysed.
- The panel´s decision will be final.
AWARDS
- 1 award per category for the most voted product.
- 1 mention per category for the second most voted product.
- 1 special award for the best innovation for Industrial Vehicles, to be chosen among all the selected innovations that were marked for Industrial Vehicles on the inscription form.

  - Mention in their communications and publicity campaigns that they received an Innovation Gallery Award

  - Mention in their communications and publicity campaigns that they received an Innovation Gallery Award
PROMOTION OF INNOVATION GALLERY
- Information on selected products will be displayed in an area specifically designed for that purpose at Motortec 2025.
- The Innovation Gallery Awards will be given special promotion, as the following:
  - Special section on MOTORTEC 2025 website including the selected product´s description
  - Technical and general press media.
  - Specific information for trade visitors.
  - In social media.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS
- The products and services displayed in the Innovation Gallery Awards are property and/or responsibility of the participants, manufacturers or, where appropriate, of the exhibitors who represent them. IFEMA MADRID expressly states that the contestants are responsible for the legitimacy and authenticity of the products and services submitted as well as for the compliance of the ruling legislation applicable.
- The Inscription of MOTORTEC 2025 exhibitor in the Awards implies full knowledge and acceptance of the contents of these rules, as well as the acceptance of the decision of the jury, without the right to appeal.
- All products submitted to the Contest must comply with the EU security and operating legislation. They will also have to submit an EU Declaration of Conformity.
- The decision of the Panel of Judges is final.
- The Panel of Judges undertakes to uphold confidentiality, although MOTORTEC 2025 will not be responsible for any breach that may take place.
- The fair reserves the right to suspend, postpone, modify, or cancel this event for whatever technical reasons it deems necessary. Should this occur, the decision will be communicated to all the participants, and only in this case, reimbursed for the payments already made for the inscription fees of the products.
DATES AND DEADLINES
- March 6, 2025: Deadline to send the inscription form.
- April 1, 2025: Communication of the selected products.
- April 23, 2025: Awards Ceremony.
- April 23 – 26, 2025: Exhibition in the Trade Fair.
