MOMAD launches a new edition with numerous group participations, and 50% of international firms
Tomorrow will be opened MOMAD. From 9 to 11 February at IFEMA MADRID.
A weekend dedicated to the fashion industry at IFEMA MADRID will start tomorrow with the official opening of MOMAD, which will coincide with Intergift, Bisutex, and Madridplata y más by Madridjoya, all leading events in their respective sectors, namely high-end decoration and gifts, fashion jewellery and accessories, and fine silver and gold jewellery. The show will take place from Friday to Sunday, 9 to 11 February, in Hall 8 and will be organised by IFEMA MADRID.
More than 300 fashion firms will present their innovations for the autumn/winter 24/25 season with immediate delivery for spring/summer 2024, as well as timeless collections for which there is growing demand in the industry. To enhance the visitor experience, the fair will be redesigned according to the following criteria: contemporary, with prestigious firms presenting the Advance Autumn/Winter 24/25 collection; event, celebration, ceremony, guests...; Sustainable Experience with sustainable fashion brands and the casual sector.
This edition of MOMAD will be attended by several groups of participants: ADLIB Ibiza, Junta de Castilla y León through the Institute for Business Competitiveness (ICE), PROEXCA (Canary Islands), and Málaga de Moda. With foreign firms accounting for 50% of participants, there will be companies from Portugal, Greece, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, and Colombia, among others.
Meanwhile, MOMAD is still an outstanding event for industry entrepreneurs and has organised the tenth edition of the MOMAD Talents competition. This time, the winners are MOCLAN and KAUS Studio. It will also host the ‘TALENT LAB 23’ exhibition by the Higher Centre for Fashion Design in Madrid at the Polytechnic University of Madrid in the connecting area between the Madridplata y más by Madridjoya (Hall 6) and MOMAD (Hall 8).
What’s more, a new Sweet Moments space has been launched at this edition that will house ‘The Terrace of the Ritz’, a recreation of Guadarte's last project, ' The Garden of the Ritz' and the Hotel Mandarín Oriental RITZ. There is also an exhibition on ‘Wabi-Sabi—The beauty of second chances’ by the Asociación ADA. Visitors can also enjoy a gastronomic area to something sweet at break times.
MOMAD February 2024 will coincide with Intergift, Salón Internacional del Regalo y Decoración (International Gift & Decoration Fair) from 7 to 10 February; Madridplata y más by Madridjoya, and Bisutex, both from 8 to 11 February.
