New MOMAD roadshow: the Region of Murcia showcases new features of the top fashion industry fair in Spain
MOMAD will take place on 13, 14 and 15 September 2024 in Hall 8 at the Recinto Ferial of IFEMA MADRID
With expectations running high for the next edition of MOMAD in September, the fashion event's organisers have been visiting the Region of Murcia to contact a major professional audience and one of Europe's main jute producers.
Youte Festival
MOMAD was at the inauguration of the ‘Youte Festival’ in Caravaca de la Cruz, organised by the Calzia Association, and whose ambassador was the international designer Alejandro Carlín. One product, jute, of which, according to the regional government, more than 100 million euros worth was exported in 2023, occupies 130 companies and 1,900 direct workers dedicated to the sector. The footwear manufactured in the Region of Murcia is the product of one of Spain's oldest industries mentioned in the Ordinances of the Council of Caravaca of 1556: the Jute Espadrille of Caravaca. MOMAD is an important sector ally and may attend the event as a group that includes the region's leading firms.
As well to visiting the ‘Youte Festival’, MOMAD's director, Julia González, and commercial manager, Mercedes Ferrero, made a tour of the headquarters of loyal companies in the area that always participate in MOMAD with attractive news and products for visitors, such as Laura Bernal, a textile company. and Cayetano Giménez, a footwear firm.
MOMAD September 2024 (on 13, 14 and 15 September) will coincide with Intergift (from 11 to 14 September), Madridjoya and Bisutex (from 12 to 15 September).
