Organised by IFEMA MADRID and ANICE, the doors close on the 6th edition demonstrating its value as a key business tool with the attendance of buyers from 64 countries.

Meat Attraction, the leading International Trade Fair for the meat industry co-organised by IFEMA MADRID and the National Meat Processing Industries Association of Spain (ANICE) between 25 and 27 February, closes its sixth edition, reaffirming its position as an essential platform for marketing and internationalisation, as well as a reference for driving innovation.

Meat Attraction 2025 saw a 16.7% increase in trade visitors from 64 countries, bringing together around 300 companies in an exhibition area divided into the Product Area, which represented 70% of the offer, and Auxiliary Industry, which accounted for 30% of the event.

This edition, which once again had Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar  as its main sponsor, also consolidated Meat Attraction as a fundamental tool for international promotion, standing out as a point of reference for the main meat importers and global traders. The professionals visiting the event attended from Portugal, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, France and Poland, among other key markets for the industry.

In this context, Meat Attraction has reinforced its internationalisation strategy through B2Meat, a powerful guest programme that brought together 100 key international buyers from the meat industry with the support of ICEX. Over the three days, more than 1,000 meetings were held with buyers from 19 countries, fostering a direct and effective connection between exporter and buyer.

Space for learning, innovation and development of the meat industry

In addition to the exhibition, Meat Attraction also featured a full programme of technical conferences and activities, offering professionals a space for debate and exchanging knowledge and best practices. Some of the highlights included, #Distrimeat, which addressed the impact of global political, economic and social changes on production and marketing; and the MeaTIC Conference, focused on Artificial Intelligence solutions for the livestock-meat chain and the financing routes for implementing these tools in the business fabric.

Likewise, the trade fair witnessed the presentation of some important economic reports such as the results of the international promotional campaigns of the Interprofessional Association of the Iberian Pig (ASICI), which highlights that the export of cured ham has increased by 56.5% since 2020, reaching a record turnover of 722.14 million euros in 2024.

At Factoría Chef there were demonstrations and showcooking sessions featuring different products, such as lamb, kid, foie gras, cold meats, Iberian cured meats, chicken, turkey and quail, showing the versatility of meat and its culinary potential.

Innovation and excellence awards

Meat Attraction recognised the efforts companies that are committed to the transformation and growth of the meat industry through its Innovation Hub Awards. In the Product area, Agropecuaria Fraile, Eresma Elaboradores, Nico Jamones and Bellotterra were the worthy award-winners, while in Auxiliary Industry, Inndeo Proyectos, Vaessen Schoemaker and ATS Tanner stood out.
