UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, is the only university with its own catwalk show at MBFWMadrid. The Daoíz and Velarde Cultural Centre will host this extraordinary show

A total of 29 students from the Official University Degree in Fashion Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, will showcase the 'Parallel Worlds' collection for the upcoming spring-summer 2025 season within the framework of the 80th edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid catwalk. In this way, UDIT strengthens its commitment to MBFWMadrid, marking its ninth consecutive year as the only university with its own catwalk within the official catwalk calendar.

The Spring-Summer 2025 collection by UDIT is inspired by the contrast between the real world and the dream world, resulting in a concept that seeks to blend experiences and create new realities. This proposal explores the alternative worlds generated by individual and shared experiences, investigating how they contribute to a society immersed in constant change and driven by opposing forces.

The conceptual groundwork developed for this collection has led to a range of contrasting silhouettes that embody the duality central to its theme. The students have crafted an imaginary world rich in textures through experimental textile manipulations, combined with artisanal techniques such as braiding, printing, and upcycling. They have also selected ethereal materials such as gauze and silk organza, poplin, and cotton tulle, alongside heavier fabrics like cotton denim and taffeta. Meanwhile, the colour palette seamlessly blends neutral tones with vibrant accents, incorporating various shades like crimson red, orange, and pastel hues.

The designers of “Parallel Worlds” are Rodrigo Aragón Villacampa, Alba Cavero Álvaro Oliván, Ariadna Cintrano Torres, María Gema Coca Salmoral, Nuria Delgado Hernández, Triana Estévez Casado, María Fernández Pérez, Raquel Fernández Pérez, María Fernández-Mayoralas Alarcón, Aleksandra García Nurbaeva, Carlota Hernández-Botejara Vicente, Lucía Teresa Jacob Álvarez, Alisson Camila Jiménez Neuman, Aitana Llorente de Antonio, Carmen López-Ibor Segimon, Rania Mohamed Gómez, Carlota Navarro Casero, Iván Parra Martín, Candela Pascual Rico, Celia Rodríguez Summers, Lucía Roizo Magán, Alicia Romero Faus, Lucía Romero López, Camino Ruiz de Temiño Vigara, Javier Antonio Sánchez Sánchez, María Camila Solalinde Melgarejo, Lucía Urreta Zubiría, Mar Valdés Valcárcel and Elena Vivanco Vilches.
