Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid completes its agenda with five Catwalks in the City
María Lafuente, Rafael Urquízar, Félix Ramiro, Pilar Dalbat and UDIT will take part in MBFWMadrid with fashion shows in the city of Madrid on 19 February
MBFWMadrid, organised by IFEMA MADRID with support from Madrid City Council, will be held from 19 to 23 February. The first day will feature five Fashion Shows in the City by high-profile designers established in the international scene.
With the addition of these firms, which will present their collections in a choice of venues throughout the city of Madrid, Fashion Week will once again be a magnificent showcase for the creativity, style and talent present in the Spanish fashion industry. It will also mark the beginning of five days of catwalk shows in Hall 14.1 at IFEMA MADRID.
Catwalks in the City, Wednesday, 19 February
The MBFWMadrid Catwalks in the City will start with María Lafuente, with a noteworthy focus on sustainable fashion and a strong commitment to the environment. This will be followed by Rafael Urquizar, whose collection stands out for its combination of innovation, craftsmanship, and strong aesthetics. Next up will be Félix Ramiro, with tailoring skills harnessed to create sophisticated, personalised designs, and then Pilar Dalbat, whose creations are designed to stand the test of time. Lastly, young designers from UDIT, the University of Design, Innovation and Technology, will bring the day to a close.
On the same day, a fashion film - Andrew Procid’s Virtual Show - will be screened.
Supporting the fashion sector
MBFWMadrid, organised by IFEMA MADRID with support from Madrid City Council, will include the participation of companies faithful to the event and committed to Spanish fashion. These include Mercedes-Benz, L’Oréal Paris and Inditex, which will be there as the Main Sponsors. Meanwhile, Iberia and MO by Multiópticas will be there as Sponsors and GHD, Community of Madrid, Málaga de Moda, as well as the Diputación de Málaga, UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, EAST CREMA COFFEE x OATLY and Schweppes as Collaborators. The REY JUAN CARLOS UNIVERSITY will also participate.
The catwalk will also have the magazine ¡HOLA! as the Media Partner of the event. Its team will prepare a spectacular stand where attendees will have the opportunity to drop by and pick up one of its publications, including ¡HOLA!, Fashion, Living, ¡HOLA! Madrid and Haute Couture. As in recent editions, ¡HOLA! TV will serve as international television coverage again and will report on everything happening throughout the event. Lucía Riaño, a prominent journalist from the channel, will preside over live broadcasts every evening from the TV set in the Cibelespacio, offering the channel's global audience detailed coverage of the highlights from the Madrid catwalk.
