Iberia confirms its commitment to Spanish fashion at the 80th edition of MBFWMadrid
Once again, Iberia has renewed its support for Spanish fashion as a sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, which will be held from 12 to 16 September at IFEMA MADRID. The Recinto Ferial will be the main stage of the fashion world, reaffirming its commitment to the talent and creativity of the country. During the event, designers, Iberia customers, distributors, and key industry players will gather in an environment that celebrates the quality of the fashion sector in Spain.
Premium Lounge: The Exclusive Space for Fashion and Talent
The airline, which has been an essential part of the platform in previous editions, will once again feature its exclusive Premium Lounge—a room inspired by the VIP Lounges of Madrid Airport. This will serve as a meeting point for designers, high-value Iberia customers, distributors, and key figures in the fashion industry.
The Premium Lounge will not only be a space for rest and enjoyment but also a reflection of the airline's commitment to fostering Spanish talent. The collaboration between the airline and the fashion world strengthens the ties between both sectors, offering a unique space where trends and innovation can converge.
Presentation of the Short Documentary "1932 Sur Mer" by Teresa Helbig
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid is the platform for Iberia to present the short documentary about the designer Teresa Helbig's latest collection, "1932 Sur Mer," inspired by Victor Hugo's classic novel, "Les Misérables." This collection was originally unveiled on 7 March in the iconic Parisian district of Le Marais, marking a significant milestone in the designer's career as it was her first catwalk show in Paris—a dream that Iberia helped make a reality.
The documentary, which will be presented on Friday, 13 September at 11:45 in the Cibelespacio, tells in first person how Teresa Helbig experienced taking Spanish fashion to the city of light and her close relationship with the Talent on board project of which she is part. In this audiovisual work, Helbig also recalls her collaboration with the airline to design the uniforms for Iberia’s 4,200 cabin crew members, as well as the experience of flying on the A350 that bears her name.
The 80th edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, organised by IFEMA MADRID, will take place from12 to 16 September 2024, solidifying its status as the most important fashion event in Spain. As a sponsor of the event, Iberia strengthens its support for creativity and talent with the aim of elevating and showcasing Spanish fashion to new heights.
