International firms, up-to-the-minute young designers, and creators with an established track record make up the official lineup on the second day of the catwalk shows on Friday, 13 September 2024, at the Recinto Ferial of IFEMA MADRID

After a first day full of brilliant design and creativity at the 80th edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid show, the second day will star names like Angel Schlesser, Isabel Sanchis, Hannibal Laguna, Berhanyer, JCPajares, Alvaro Calafat and Malne with a lineup of catwalk shows from 11.30 am to 8.30 pm on Friday, 13 September.

First up, Angel Schlesser will show its designs in Hall 14.1 at IFEMA MADRID, with the debut on the MBFWMadrid catwalk of its creative designer, Alfonso Pérez. Born in Oviedo and an expert in pattern cutting who understands what women need, he is a singular artist, passionate about painting, whose goal is to return to take the brand back to its roots.

Later, the Mercedes-Benz room will fill with magic and art courtesy of haute couture firm Isabel Sanchis. Based on architecture, the winner of the 2023 L’Oréal Paris Prize for the Best Collection in February will present a sublimely feminine, glamourous and precisely cut collection that focuses on the female silhouette.

Following Isabel Sanchis, the spotlight will be on Hannibal Laguna. He is one of the most loyal supporters of MBFWMadrid, the most important catwalk in the country. His gauze, ethereal garments, and spring colours have been hallmarks of his designs, and he is taking part in MBFWMadrid for the 33rd time, a testament to his commitment to the event.

Berhanyer, a firm that made a striking comeback at the last edition with a unique collection, will be back at MBFWMadrid. Their collection garnered them the L’Oréal Paris Award for the Best Collection, and they are returning with a new corporate identity and creative director Sergio de Lázaro.

Then, it's time for JCPajares, a firm that will participate in MBFWMadrid for the eighth time. JCPajares will once again give free rein to his creativity and originality in the collection of this next call, as he has been doing in previous editions, but with a common link in all of them: his roots. Castilla-La Mancha has consistently been a haven for the designer to showcase his artistic talents in his shows.

Álvaro Calafat is making a comeback at MBFWMadrid, having previously debuted in September 2022. The Malaga-born designer is known for his innovative approach, blending tradition with a focus on creating eye-catching looks for red-carpet events in Spain.

According to tradition, MALNE will conclude the day with singular staging. Paloma y Juanjo's designs will be founded on elegance, daring, and refinement. The longest-running professional couple in the fashion world at MBFWMadrid will participate in the event for the 12th time.

MBFWMadrid, organised by IFEMA MADRID with support from Madrid City Council, has prestigious participants that include leading firms in the sector, such as Mercedes-Benz, L’Oréal Paris and Inditex, as main sponsors; Allianz, Iberia and MO, which participate as sponsors; and Dorsia Clínicas, GHD, Udit-Universidad de Diseño, Innovación y Tecnología (Udit). Comunidad de Madrid, Málaga de Moda participate with the corporate identity of Diputación de Málaga, Junta de Castilla y León, Mar de Frades, Schweppes and Martin Miller’s Gin, as collaborators. In addition, the ESDEN Business School, and Kellogg's will be taking part.
