Nine emerging designers will present their shows on the catwalk in Hall 14.1 of IFEMA MADRID on Sunday, 18 February

Emerging creators selected to participate in the Allianz EGO show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid have a date on Sunday, 18 February, when a large audience is expected to attend. Nine ground-breaking, avant-garde, unique and different designers will present their collections at this show, some for the first time, and it will happen in Hall 14.1 of the Recinto Ferial of IFEMA MADRID from 11.00 am to 8.00 pm.

For its part, Allianz EGO will be an opportunity to enjoy designs from brands like COCONUTSCANKILL and Dimoni, which are sharing the 11.00 am slot that kicks off the day’s shows. The first one, whose creative director is Amara Caruncho, winner of the fifth edition of Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion award in September 2023, will present a collection whose central theme is circularity in the fashion world. Likewise, Dimoni (2022) will show ‘TT’, a collection that blends ‘gym culture’ with ultra-feminine draping.

At 1.30 pm, it will be time for Juan VG with his GAMBERRXS proposal, where he fuses the aesthetics of the brand, upcycling, and illustrations to create an ambience that brings to mind childish rebelliousness - about what to wear to school - while reflecting the tough side of grunge and street fashion. At the same time, and after Juan VG, Oriol Clavell will take his début collection to the stage after graduating in menswear at the London College of Fashion in 2022. His final project collection won the Real Leather Apparel UK and was selected as a finalist for the Yinger Prize International, shown in Shenzhen, China. The collection attracted the interest of the press and several artists, and the designer has dressed celebrities like Kylie Minogue, Machine Gun Kelly, and Bimini, among others.

EVADE HOUSE (winner of the Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion award in February 2022), will encourage us to take another look at our wardrobes and give them new uses with the 006 collection. Anystudio, in the meantime, defines itself as much more than a clothing brand, with a mission to claim, mix and collaborate to show its way of understanding fashion. Both firms will walk at 4.00 pm.

At 6.00 pm, Adrià Egea, a conceptual artist from Barcelona born in 1997, will present his “Error Series 3.0” collection, a manifestation of the evolution of his own being, a poetic exploration of the artist's state. Egea will share a slot with Visori. With more than 20 years of experience in fashion, its designer Javier Soria recently designed the costumes for Nacho Cano's musical, Malinche, in Madrid, and his work has been recognised by the National Revelation Award with the award for best designer of 2022.

Lastly, at 8.00 pm, Peter Sposito Studio will share the slot with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent’s international guest, who will close this edition of MBFWMadrid. Sposito presents “The RTW couture”, a collection through which he addresses life from the perspective of realising the transition to adulthood and continuous learning about life. The theme is communicated with the motto “cause you’re the couture of your ready to wear”.

The day will also begin with the announcement of the Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion award (among the participants of the Showroom Allianz (EGO). Sunday will culminate with the handing out of the 23rd Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent award for talent and emerging design. The winner will be chosen from among the designers showing on the Allianz EGO catwalk, and the award will be an opportunity to take part in an international fashion show, as creator Aitor Goikoetxea was able to do at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico in October.

MBFWMadrid will take place with support from its official sponsors. Mercedes-Benz, L’Oréal Paris and Inditex are the main sponsors. Allianz, Iberia and Multiópticas will take part as sponsors, with GHD, Dorsia Clínicas, AEG, Mar de Frades, Martin Miller’s Gin, Málaga de Moda and the corporate identity of the Government of Malaga, UDIT University of Design and Technology, Schweppes Selection as collaborators and Solán de Cabras as the official water. ¡HOLA! TV will be back as the international television channel of MBFWMadrid.
