The Sunday event will be a showcase for collections by MAL Studio Custom Project, Anamingo, Karlo Módenes, Alejandre, Boltad, Arturo de la Rosa, XVStrange, H05 and Santamarta. These industry newcomers are candidates for the 24th edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent Award. The winner of this coveted prize will walk on the catwalk at Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week. This time, the guest international designer will be Tomas Nemec from the Czech Fashion Week.

Allianz EGO catwalk will make Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (from 12 to 15 September in Hall 14.1 at IFEMA MADRID) a major launchpad for new talents in Spanish fashion. The event will take place within MBFWMadrid. A total of nine firms will display their creations on the catwalk on 15 September, and one of them will win the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent prize, which is an opportunity to show a collection on the catwalk at Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week. The winner will follow in the footsteps of fashion success stories such as Pepa Salazar, Ernesto Naranjo, Outsiders Division and Dominnico, who have all received this prestigious award in the past.

This time, the up-and-coming fashion talents to star on the catwalk will be MAL Studio Custom Project, Anamingo, Karlo Módenes, Alejandre, Boltad, Arturo de la Rosa, XVStrange, H05, Santamarta and international designer Tomas Nemec from Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week, who will close the day. Sunday will kick off with the awards ceremony of the Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion to the best of the 15 designers scheduled to present their collections in the Showroom Allianz EGO.

MAL Studio Custom Project, winner of the Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion in February 2024, will start the ball rolling with “Axis Mundi”, a personal manifestation of the emotions and nostalgia of its creator, Michelle Lima. This will be a double show with Anamingo, which will present the “Ajuar” collection. This project explores recollections of the domestic realm, offering a private view of the home as a silent witness to the experiences of its inhabitants.

Karlo Módenes will then present “Who is the killer?” at his first appearance on the catwalk. These creations are a fashion version of the classic board game “Cluedo” with happening starring characters inspired by Hollywood cinema classics. Alejandre will share the slot with his “Core” collection, which is inspired by the close connections between the work and personal lives of an artist. It is a cry in favour of uniqueness and against generality that disobeys dress codes and reconstructs them from a unique and personal point of view.

Boltad, winner of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent in September 2022, will present “Woltad”, the name of the collection of his imaginary land. His is a surreal nation where cultural diversity and personal expression play a central role through “tribes” that coexist under the country’s general culture. During the same slot, Arturo de la Rosa will flood the stage with his next collection, entitled “Children of Uncertainty”. This deconstruction-construction of garments transforms the familiar into something unexpected.

XVStrange will be back, this time with “Mowande”, as he has named his latest collection. The concept is the artist’s route artwork, the search for connection with the source of inspiration and internal creativity to embody the visualised work in the physical plane. Next up is H05 with a new collection. “Visit” is like going back to grandma’s house in search of the antidote with which to leave more slowly than you entered.

Lastly, Santamarta will present “About Perception”, a showcase of upcycling from a different perspective that values pattern-making and simplicity in each piece, causing only minimal environmental impact. And to wrap up the day, Tomas Nemec. The international guest designer presents his S/S25 collection, set in the fictional setting of a Prague night bar, with an atmosphere of dimly lit table lamps, vintage wallpaper, and black-and-white photographs on the walls.

MBFWMadrid, organised by IFEMA MADRID with support from Madrid City Council, will be backed by numerous loyal participants such as Mercedes-Benz, L’Oréal Paris and Inditex, its main sponsors; Allianz, Iberia and MO, as sponsors; and Dorsia Clínicas, GHD, Udit-Universidad de Diseño, Innovación y Tecnología, the Community of Madrid, Málaga de Moda which is taking part with the Corporate Identity of Diputación de Málaga, Junta de Castilla y León, Mar de Frades, Schweppes and Martin Miller’s Gin, as collaborators. The ESDEN Business School and Kellogg’s will also participate.
