The award recognises the brand's potential and commercial vision and rewards the winner with €6,000. The winner also has the opportunity to show their new collection at the next edition in February 2025.

Allianz EGO, the country's leading platform for emerging fashion talent, held a new edition of the Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion award this morning as part of the 80th Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, which was held from 12 to 15 September. In this way, Allianz maintains its commitment to emerging talent and the future of fashion made in Spain.

At the Allianz EGO Showroom, located in the Creation Space within Cibelespacio, attendees of MBFWMadrid had the opportunity to discover, try on, and purchase collections from 15 emerging designers. Their fashions, designed to break down barriers and challenge stereotypes, take Spanish fashion beyond conventional limits. They feature sustainable production models and a clear focus on inclusion and diversity.

Additionally, these brands competed for the Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion award, aimed at boosting the business vision of these new talents. The winning brand, Alineo Studio, has received a €6,000 grant to finance the creation of a new collection, which they will show at the next MBFWMadrid, and professional mentoring for six months to strengthen their business prowess, in collaboration with UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology.

The founder and creative director of Redondo Brand, Jorge Redondo, recognised for his entrepreneurial ability and for creating his own brand with significant potential in the fashion sector at a young age, has joined the panel of experts who will evaluate the creative and business proposals of the 15 participants. The jury also includes Ana Rodríguez, director of MBFWMadrid; Andrés Aberasturi, curator of Allianz EGO; and Maruca García Paredes, director of the Fashion Area at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology.

More about the participants competing for the Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion Award

ALINEO STUDIO (Palma de Mallorca) stands out for its ethereal and rebellious aesthetic, featuring designs that steer clear of fast fashion and challenge social prejudices. Their latest collections are defined as a reflection of life, captivating the audience with silhouettes in motion, portrayed through draped dresses adorned with butterfly and floral motifs.

On the other hand, ANIDIPLOSIS (Madrid) draws inspiration from nostalgia and memories, paying tribute to the women who have shaped the life of its creative director. Their garments showcase craftsmanship in vibrant colours, creating an emotional bond with those who wear them.

From Barcelona, BOULARD offers a sophisticated and elegant take on prêt-à-porter, blending Catalan art nouveau with French roots to create timeless and sustainable fashion.

Similarly, CRYPTA (Barcelona) presents experimental garments crafted from recycled fabrics. Design, innovation, and craftsmanship are the focal points of collections that do not adhere to commercial timelines, divided into three distinct lines: an experimental line, a made-to-order line, and a limited edition line.

DEVOL Studio (El Verger, Alicante) champions sustainability through the technique of upcycling, creating new garments from existing ones. This approach extends the lifecycle of clothing while producing minimal waste, forging a lasting emotional connection with the user.

In DÜA DÜA (Madrid), they produce step by step, without haste, with tradition and vanguard, respecting the times and fulfilling the essential processes to reach excellence. From the initial sketch to the last stitch, enjoying the journey to the full.

EMEERREE (Madrid), founded by Aarón Moreno, reinterprets wardrobe basics such as the cowboy or inner T-shirts and mixes them with corsetry elements. The brand is committed to sustainable production, using sale on demand and creating only small stocks, thus producing only what is necessary.

GUILLERMO JUSTICIA (Barcelona) highlights elements such as nature as inspiration in its collections, which is one of the brand's identifying characteristics. Sustainability is one of its pillars, and deadstock or recycled fabrics are used and produced locally in Barcelona.

JOPLIN ATELIER (Barcelona), founded by sisters Aida and Laura Molano, combines luxury and creativity with a contemporary twist. Their collection features elegant garments, high-end fabrics, and impeccable finishes that create a playfully chic aesthetic infused with rock vibes and a touch of nostalgia.

JOSS BLAKE (Seville) is a conceptual brand with an eye on the future. It is motivated by a desire to transcend this century's limitations. The range is characterised by a foundation of decontextualised tailoring, organic cuts, and voluminous silhouettes.

JUAN VG (Valladolid) positions itself as a genderless and upcycling brand, transforming second-hand garments into new and unique pieces. Denim, crochet, and patchwork of various fabrics dominate the creations, alongside a fusion of different disciplines, such as hand-painted upcycled items and airbrushing techniques.

Meanwhile, NIMPH (Barcelona) draws inspiration from a vision of a post-modern imaginary world inhabited by strong, female, queer, and independent fantastical creatures. Collaborating with creatives from various fields, NIMPH operates independently from the traditional calendar set by the fashion industry, presenting capsule collections twice a year.

RDRS (Pontevedra) is distinguished by its experimentation with vibrant textures and prints, creating a visual collage that challenges the concept of traditional timelessness. It reviews the objects and their functions, assembling and experimenting with various materials until reaching a tactile and visual collage that evokes the game.

With romanticism and vintage aesthetics as the main distinguishing features, THE CURIOUSERS Bilbao seeks to build an army of ‘curious’ people willing to renounce the norm and convert to colour, volume, and nostalgia. The mission is to dress women with personality and without fear of standing out with genuinely exaggerated and fun pieces. The firm does not follow trends or seasons and opts for slow fashion and sustainability.

Finally, Zoe Oms (Barcelona) is a women's clothing brand that expresses hyperfemininity and nostalgia from a sensitive, organic perspective. Each piece is in white, not only for its connotation of purity and light but also because the silhouettes and textures take precedence above all else.
