Since the first collection, the brand has quickly established itself as a major player on the creative map of Mexico and Latin America. Present with 3 own retail spaces, multiple retailers and global events, 2022 marked an evolution, solidifying its position as a benchmark for contemporary luxury with a distinctly eclectic soul.

THE ORIGIN

Sandra Weil was born in Peru, into a multicultural family with roots in Turkey, Germany, Brazil, and Romania. She inherited her love for creativity from her grandmother, and the fierce women surrounding her.

THE CREATIVE

Using her inner voice, she intuitively designed her first garment; a piece that became a coveted item among her acquaintances. She went on to study Visual Arts in Peru and specialized in Haute Couture in Barcelona, to later establish herself in Mexico in 2008.

Mexico City marked the beginning of Sandra Weil, the brand. The birth of the project came from the impulse to express her artistic vision, looking to transcend the idea of mere clothing.

EVOLUTION & EXPANSION

Conceived by Mexican Architect Pablo Pérez Palacios, the current Flagship Store in Mexico City has evolved into a cultural hub, where the realms of art and fashion have seamlessly blended.

2022, a year of profound expansion, also saw the opening of retail locations in Monterrey & Mérida; and a series of pop-up openings at a global scale. The brand is supported by international commercial partners, featured at global fashion weeks, and covered by both Mexican and worldwide print and digital media.

Sandra Weil presents her new autumn winter 2025 collection. LEVEL8 refers to an infinite universe, where the number 8 represents the symbol of infinity and reflects the endless nature of this mythological cosmos. This collection not only uses the figure of the dragon as an emblem of power, but establishes a dialogue between this symbol and other mythical beings, generating an unlimited universe in which each element acts as a channel of connection with human strength and resilience.

The central narrative presents the dragon as the archetype of strength and wisdom. Historically, the dragon has been seen as the protector of worlds and the guardian of deep secrets, a creature that embodies both fury and calm, the duality between power and control. The dragon is not only a symbol of external power, but represents the inner strength that we all possess and the process of protecting and building our own personal universe.

One of the most significant symbolic elements in this collection is the spine, conceived as the axis of connection between the dragon and man. The spine represents not only the physical structure of the human being, but also the inner strength that sustains us in all aspects of our lives. The spine then becomes a symbol of balance, stability and adaptability: characteristics that form the basis of all human strength. This concept of the spine as an axis also alludes to the union of two worlds: the mythical universe of the dragon and the tangible world of the human.

LEVEL8 is an expression of strength as a continuous construction, an infinite resilience that comes from our experiences, internal struggles and the ability to find balance between fragility and power. In this infinite cosmos, dragons and other mythical creatures represent aspects of our own essence in constant expansion and transformation. Each element in LEVEL8 seeks to be a portal to an inner universe, allowing each person to connect with their own story, their own personal mythology and with the infinite strength that resides in each of us.
