Pat Equilux

Patricia Fernández Iñesta, born in Elda, known as the city of footwear, has grown up with fashion as a part of her life. Coming from a shoemaking family, she knew from a young age that fashion was the way to express her deepest emotions and experiences throughout her life. This is how Pat Equilux was born alongside the creation of a person.

It stands out for being a human brand, which especially emphasizes empathy and understanding that leads us to our greatest aspiration: the inclusion of everyone. It connects with the audience by creating what fills the small voids that life forms, with unique designs that the public can identify with. Thanks to its roots, the brand has a sustainable approach, using materials obtained from factory scraps, recycled and then crafted in an artisanal way.

“Mirrors”

In this collection, I aimed to give physical form to the mirrors of my life, not as people, but as emotions, learnings, lessons, and moments. It offers a subtle touch of life, almost philosophical, materialized in straight and deconstructed patterns of the “typical” garments in our wardrobes, which in turn play with textures. By applying stitches that usually serve a functional purpose, we have transformed them into decorative stitches. We personify the straightness of the passage of time with lines, and the interpretation of those unpredictable moments with deconstructed patterns.

Shirts, shoulder pads, and shorts, among other pieces, have been positioned halfway between the masculine and feminine, materializing our ideology and debunking the cuts and designs of men's clothing, which have often adhered to very rigid codes aimed at imposing ideas of power and uniformity. 

We wanted to play with the confluence of femininity and masculinity, seeking a harmonious cohesion rather than dissent. The frayed seams evoke that reference to the unexpected nature of life, with the continuity of day-to-day existence, accompanied by long bands that seem endless, referencing the footprints of the life's journey.

The chosen palette, in all whites and blacks, emulates the lights and shadows of each of us, accompanied by browns that convey security, followed by touches of pastel yellow, a color that evokes feelings of warmth and joy, associated with happiness and positivity, creating the color scheme that visually defines this collection.
