Matelec announces the winners of the Young Installers Competition 2024

The fair closed its doors with these awards, which recognise emerging talent in the installations sector.

MATELEC, the International Solutions Exhibition for the Electrical and Electronics Industry, held at IFEMA MADRID, closed this edition with the prize-giving ceremony for the awards of the 17th edition of the Young Installers Competition 2024. These are organised in collaboration with FENIE, the Spanish National Federation of Electrical, Telecommunications and Air Conditioning Installers. 

The first prize, in collaboration with Sonepar, went to Jesús González, from the APIET SEGOVIA association, representing María Moliner Secondary School. The runner-up, in collaboration with FENIE and Matelec, was Jhimmy Alexander Condori, from the APES Ciudad Real association, representing Francisco García Pavón Secondary School. Third place, in collaboration with SPIT, went to Carlos Valencia from the ASEMIET Cáceres association representing Javier García Téllez Secondary School. The prize for the Fastest, in collaboration with Fermax, went to Jordi Tortosa, from the APEME association in Alicante, representing Antonio Navarro Santafé Secondary School. In turn, the award for Best Companion, in collaboration with Feníe Energía, went to Julien Häder from the ASEMIE Ibiza association, representing Isidor Macabich Secondary School. And finally, the prize for the Best Theoretical Score, in collaboration with Sonepar, went to José Carlos Pérez from the APEI JAÉN association representing Las Fuentezuelas Secondary School.

The 17th edition of the National Young Installers Competition brought together 41 young participants  nationwide and was attended by thousands of professionals who closely followed the contestants' progress. The closing ceremony was attended by Yolanda González Sánchez, the Deputy CEO for Dual Promotion and Business Relations, Alberto Leal, the director of Matelec, Miguel Ángel Gómez, the Chairman of FENIE, and Jesús Román, the Secretary General of FENIE, who acknowledged the effort and dedication of all the participants and the great future of the installations sector.

The Young Installers Competition represents a valuable opportunity to recognise and promote emerging talent in the installations’ sector. With these awards, Matelec concludes its celebration which, from 5 to 8 November, has brought together the electrical and electronics industry sector, sharing knowledge and industry trends. It also focused on strengthening the international positioning of the fair.
