The International Exhibition of Solutions for the Electrical and Electronics Industry has been a success with more than 24,000 participants, a 4% increase on last year's numbers, confirming the sector's recovery.

The new International Electrification and Decarbonisation Week project, integrating the Genera and Matelec trade fairs, was presented and will be held from 18 to 20 November 2025.

The International Electricity and Electronics Industry Solutions Show, organised by IFEMA MADRID, has closed its 22nd year after hosting 24,276 participants, consolidating itself as an essential event for professionals in the sector. More than 500 companies have taken part, and we are already looking ahead to 2025, the year in which it will be held jointly with Genera, under the umbrella of the new International Week of Electrification and Decarbonisation project, creating the most high profile project in Europe for the entire energy, electrification and decarbonisation cycle.

MATELEC reaffirmed its role as a meeting point for the entire value chain of the electrical and electronics industry with a high representation of strategic sectors among its visitors, such as: electrical and electronic installers, who accounted for 21%; companies and professionals from warehouses and distributors, 20%; and specialised engineering professionals, 14%.

All of them came to MATELEC in search of innovative technologies, electrical solutions and key projects that can be developed and applied in sectors such as construction, industry and infrastructure, as well as advanced solutions in automation, energy efficiency and connectivity to transform projects and new lines of business.

The next edition of MATELEC will feature a great novelty for the sector: the International Week of Electrification and Decarbonisation, which will be held from 18 to 20 November 2025. A project that will boost the growth and projection of the two converging industries represented by GENERA and MATELEC, in an exercise to share synergies between two events with common interests and provide value as a great meeting point and business forum for the entire sector.

Internationalisation, a hallmark of MATELEC

The international profile of the fair was once again a highlight with companies from 20 countries and the presence of professionals from 65 different nations, including Portugal, Germany, Italy, France, Morocco and Turkey. An important representation that has shown the international relevance of this fair and the value it brings when it comes to generating business opportunities and promoting collaboration and commercial and knowledge exchange in advanced technological solutions.
