MATELEC and AFME present the 6th Matelec Awards for Innovation and Energy Efficiency

The International Exhibition of Solutions for the Electrical and Electronics Industry is back with a new edition of these awards focused on highlighting major projects developed by companies in the electrical sector.

The categories will be Electrical Installation, Industry and Lighting and Illumination. All interested companies can apply until 11 October.

Madrid, 12 September 2024.- MATELEC, the International Exhibition of Solutions for the Electrical and Electronics Industry, will take place at IFEMA MADRID from 5 to 8 November 2024. The event will host the sixth edition of the Matelec Awards, which is organised in collaboration with AFME, the Association of Electrical Material Manufacturers.

The aim of these awards is to highlight different products that incorporate technological, design, functional or instrumental innovations that are capable of introducing improvements in the performance of the product itself or of the installation while respecting sustainability criteria. The awards also highlight the R&D&I efforts made by companies in the electricity sector.

Stages of participation

Companies interested in participating in the 6th Matelec Awards can complete their registration until 11 October. Once this first phase has been completed, the finalists will be announced between 23 and 25 October. On 7 November, during Matelec, the prizes will be awarded to the winning companies and professionals . It is essential that the products presented are exhibited by companies participating in Matelec 2024.

Categories

These awards will be divided into three different categories. The first of these, Electrical Installation, includes all products related to switchgear, mechanisms, cables and conductors, electronics, electric vehicles, self-consumption, home automation, building automation and Smart Cities. The next category, Industry, covers automation in industry, process and energy, digital factory, industrial electronics, industrial energy management and control solutions, telecommunications and networking, energy storage and industry suppliers. Finally, the Lighting & Illumination category covers products related to LED technology, technical lighting, outdoor lighting, decorative lighting, components and electrical engineering.

The next edition of Matelec, which already has more than 540 exhibiting companies, promises to be the key space to bring together leading companies once again in electrification, digitalisation of technologies in homes, industry and commerce, and lighting. This will coincide with the International Construction Week, which includes the Construtec, Veteco, Smart Doors and Piscimad trade fairs. This creates a unique trade fair ecosystem for professionals in this sector.
