IBERZOO+PROPET opens at IFEMA MADRID tomorrow
The pet industry’s leading international trade fair will feature a total of 235 exhibitors, 20% of whom are international participants. A comprehensive line-up of complementary activities, including the 6th AEDPAC FORUM, the 41st VetMadrid Congress, and the Artero Days, will enrich the business activities.
IBERZOO+PROPET will open its doors to pet professionals. The fair will run until Friday, 15 March and will feature 235 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations in food, products, accessories, styling, grooming, health, animal welfare, education, training, trends and novelties for pets.
In addition to a healthy selection of leading Spanish companies, 40 firms from Germany, Belgium, China, South Korea, the USA, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden will participate in the event from 13 to 15 March.
Organised by IFEMA MADRID and with support from the Madrid Association of Pet Veterinarians (AMVAC) and the Spanish Association of Pet Product Distributors (AEDPAC), IBERZOO+PROPET will coincide with a boom in this sector in Spain. A total of 43% of households in the country have pets, on which they spend an average of 1,205 euros per year.
Activities at IBERZOO+ PROPET
Visiting professionals are invited to share high-quality content such as the Aula Veterinaria (Veterinary Classroom), with talks related to subjects of interest to veterinarians such as innovation, products and services to improve pet health and well-being, fishkeeping activities, with three workshops designed to explore and share this specialist interest. The Canine Styling Stage will feature several workshops organised by Artero, PROCAN and Magistral Royal. Meanwhile, the 6th AEDPAC Forum will address specific aspects of current and future trends in the pet care market and industry. The 41st VetMadrid Congress will focus on Medicine and Surgery of the Digestive System and Nutrition. The Artero Days are already established as the leading get-together for dog groomers and stylists, while the Sector Afternoon is a meeting for sector professionals interested in hearing the latest data about the veterinary and distribution sectors and also hosts the Iberzoo+Propet awards ceremony.
The Impulso area at IBERZOO+PROPET
To encourage new entrepreneurs to show at IBERZOO+PROPET, the organisers provide a space to help develop new products and services to improve the quality of life of pets. Fourteen companies will attend the event and participate in the Impulso Awards. This second edition of the awards aims to drive innovation and the development of new products and services for pet professionals. The winner will be announced during the IBERZOO+PROPET trade fair and will be rewarded with a free stand for the next edition of the fair in 2025.
