From November 19 to 21 at IFEMA MADRID, Vectalia will showcase its wide range of mobility management services for cities.

For the first time, Vectalia Group will participate with its own stand at Global Mobility Call, organized by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with Smobhub, from November 19 to 21. During these days, the company, specializing in mobility and services and operating across Spain as well as parts of France and Morocco, will present its comprehensive portfolio of solutions and services related to urban mobility.

With a fleet of over 1,000 buses and coaches, Vectalia provides public urban, metropolitan, and intercity transportation services for various local and regional administrations. The company is at the forefront of emissions reduction initiatives, with more than 50 fully electric urban buses and the addition of cutting-edge hybrid vehicles to its fleet in recent years.

As a unique aspect of its urban mobility services, Vectalia has the expertise and capacity to manage additional services that complement public transportation, such as regulated surface parking, parking facility operations, urban freight distribution (UFD), and the management of transport hubs and stations.

Currently, Vectalia operates over 8,000 parking spaces, manages more than 300 UFD routes across 15 Spanish cities, and serves more than 14 million travelers annually through its transport terminals.

Vectalia to participate in a roundtable discussion at the fair

On Wednesday, November 20, from 1:20 PM to 2:00 PM in the Ágora CONNECT space, Dionisio González, Advocacy & Outreach Director at UITP, will moderate a roundtable discussion featuring Berta Barrero, CEO of Vectalia; Miguel Ruiz, Manager of EMT Málaga; and Alfonso Sánchez, General Director of EMT Madrid. The session will focus on “Global Sustainability Commitments Through Urban Mobility.”

According to González, as the world prepares for the 2025 renewal of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement, “this is the time to unlock the true potential of the public transportation sector.” NDCs represent each country's commitment to combating global warming and adapting to a changing climate. “If utilized correctly, they could provide a way out of the current global climate crisis and make public transport the backbone of urban mobility. This is not only an environmental urgency but also a significant step toward sustainable urban development, inclusive growth, and equity,” he stated.

From the CEOs’ perspective, the session will explore how to ensure reliable, safe, and accessible public transportation, complemented by active mobility, as the fastest way to decarbonize people’s daily mobility. “This is key to improving our cities, our lives, and our planet,” concluded the UITP executive.

The third edition of Global Mobility Call positions itself as the leading event for networking, discussion, and partnerships in sustainable mobility. Organized by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub and supported by Spain’s Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, the event will feature over 450 national and international speakers across 115 panels and keynotes. The exhibition area will host around 300 companies, corporations, and startups showcasing the latest innovations and trends shaping the future of mobility industries.
