Global Mobility Call 2022 will be the biggest international sustainable mobility platform for companies and administrations
The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda is endorsing the conference which will bring international leaders together at IFEMA MADRID from 14 to 16 June
The project is organised by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub and its organising committee includes representatives from major public organisations and international companies involved in promoting mobility and sustainability
Global Mobility Call will provide the biggest international platform for exhibitors, partners and speakers within this international sustainable mobility ecosystem, offering participants cross-sectoral networking, brand empowerment and increased presence in a major forum bringing together the various industries involved in its development.
This large-scale project has been organised by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub to provide an international benchmark for the promotion of sustainable mobility and will take place from 14 to 16 June 2022. Its solid international backing comes from both institutions and associations in the sector and leading companies, which have joined forces with the aim of consolidating a sustainable mobility ecosystem, whose development generates positive social, economic and environmental impacts.
The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda is leading the event’s institutional support and GMC is aligned with the principles underpinning the Safe, Sustainable and Connected Mobility Strategy 2030 (es.movilidad). This is a roadmap designed by the Ministry to respond to 21st-century challenges in mobility and transport, including the fight against climate change, the emergence of new technologies and demographic trends, taking into account the context of post-pandemic recovery and changes in mobility behaviour.
Cutting-edge content in the main areas of sustainable mobility
Global Mobility Call will promote cutting-edge content in technology and business models. It will also offer a platform to global leaders to present their visions of the future, promote alliances and gain international visibility and contribute to defining a sustainable future for mobility.
The event, which will bring together 7,000 representatives from the sector, will include an exhibition area and a conference area for seminars and round tables, and will encompass both in-person and digital participation. There are also marketing schemes available based on participants’ level of involvement in GMC.
IFEMA MADRID will play host to stands from various institutions and companies in the sector, organised around five thematic and inter-related areas: New Urban Planning, focusing on new urban models for energy efficiency, mobility and citizen-centred connectivity; Economic Development & Regulation, looking at economic momentum from new public-private cooperation schemes, business ecosystems and regulatory frameworks; Sustainable Transportation, addressing challenges in transportation, multimodality and planning, and best-in-class solutions; Tech, Data & Innovation, exploring new technologies in infrastructure, data, automation and new services; and Future Society, presenting a global public agenda to address emerging demographic and social challenges.
Multiple different ways to participate at GMC
The GMC Partners segment is spearheaded by the Alliance Programme, which has three options: Global Ally, which is the only participation option in the main auditorium, including an invitation to the GMC Organising Committee and presence in the exhibition area; Ecosystem Ally, which offers a leading role in a topical forum and the sponsorship of a seminar in the forum and associated exhibition space; and Connected Ally, which offers a leading role in a topical forum, visibility on GMC media and exhibition space.
Global Mobility Expo is a space for showcasing new products and innovations, which will involve business leaders from each sector in sustainable mobility. It offers four different options for stands and services.
The Global Mobility Call Congress will be held in the Main Auditorium at IFEMA MADRID and in 5 topical forums. It will feature important international speakers and heads of administrations at all levels - transnational, European, national, regional and local - as well as leading business executives and stakeholders in the sector.
In addition to these forms of participation, GMC also offers the possibility of organising networking meetings for attendees interested in forming alliances and partnerships among the different participants in the event, with designated meeting spaces and appointment scheduling available.
Finally, there is the Start-ups & Scale-ups segment, designed to promote sustainable mobility development, R&D and collaborative projects, which will connect entrepreneurs with business initiatives to investors, industry leaders and institutions. The event is also linked to the Rural Challenge initiative, to develop safer and more sustainable mobility in rural areas, and the New Generation Congress, which seeks to ensure that younger voices are heard.
