All the key points of the second day of Global Mobility Call 2024
The Traffic Forum, the inspirational keynote by the founder of Shazam and the participation of international mayors are some of the many activities that will address the main challenges and solutions for the design of sustainable mobility.
The second day of the third edition of Global Mobility Call will offer a wide range of activities, including the participation of public representatives of municipal governments, the Traffic Forum and the intervention of the founder of Shazam, as well as other events that will address the main challenges for the development of sustainable mobility.
Wednesday's agenda highlights the Traffic Forum, which will have its own space at GMC and will address the topics: Boosting a new mobility, Shared Mobility Services and the Autonomous Vehicle/Autonomous Driving. The event will be opened by the Director General of Traffic, Pere Navarro, and will be attended by other representatives of the DGT and numerous experts in inclusive mobility and road safety.
On the Main Stage, the meeting "Planning the mobility of citizens in the cities of the future" with the participation of the mayors of Madrid, José Luis Martinez-Almeida and Aurora (Illinois, United States) Richard Irving, and the president of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, María José García-Pelayo. Also in this space, the founder of the music recognition app, Shazam, Chris Barton, will give an inspiring keynote that will offer valuable lessons on the importance of innovation, resilience, the power of perseverance and the path from an idea to a revolutionary breakthrough.
On this same stage, the round table sponsored by Iberdrola "Driving the electric future: Solutions in times of uncertainty" will be held, which will address the importance of collaboration between sectors and administrations to promote the energy transition. Later it will be the turn of the round table "Sustainable mobility: lessons learned in Europe, future perspective", sponsored by Moeve (Cepsa). In addition, the conference "The Robotaxi revolution" will focus on the revolutionary concept of autonomous and connected vehicles, through the case of Waymo, Google's robotaxi subsidiary.
The Agora Connect will host the round table "All roads lead to public transport", coordinated by ETRA, which will analyse how to strengthen public transport systems through strategic investments and policy interventions. The same space will host the conference "Global sustainability commitments through urban mobility", led by Vectalia, which will address how reliable and affordable public transport, together with active mobility, can accelerate decarbonisation. Subsequently, the meeting "Customer experience and the new mobility: people at the centre", sponsored by Alsa , will address issues such as personalisation of mobility, progressive cost reduction for end users, inclusion and the importance of avoiding the digital divide.
The conference "Sustainable integration of urban and interurban territories", coordinated by Arriva in the Ágora Inspire, will analyse the importance of connecting various regions through sustainable and multimodal transport networks. In this auditorium, the ONCE Foundation is coordinating the round table "AI for all: Inclusive mobility through intelligent solutions", which will address how Artificial Intelligence makes transport more accessible to people with disabilities. Later, EMT Madrid will lead the conference "Energy transformation as a lever for change in transport", which will explore how new energy solutions act as a catalyst for industrial evolution, offering opportunities for innovation, sustainability and profitability.
In the Agora Alliance, the round table "The transformation of strategic intermodal logistics hubs", coordinated by Puertos del Estado, will address how to promote the transformation of ports into logistics centres enhanced by high technology, digitalisation and connectivity.
