Road safety will play a key role at the Global Mobility Call, thanks to UNIJEPOL, FESVIAL and AIPSEV
The three entities will share their solutions for developing safer, more sustainable and more connected mobility. They will participate in TRAFIC, which will be held within the framework of the Global Mobility Call, in IFEMA MADRID’s Recinto Ferial from 12 to 14 September 2023.
Road safety will play a key role with UNIJEPOL, FESVIAL and AIPSEV participating in TRAFIC, the International Trade Fair for Safe and Sustainable Mobility, which is being held in the framework of the Global Mobility Call this year, where professionals will share their solutions for developing safer and more sustainable mobility.
The three associations participated in the past editions of TRAFIC and are bringing extra value to the Global Mobility Call this year in their areas of expertise such as the connectivity, digitalisation and efficiency of road safety and strengthening the Infrastructure, Road Safety, Parking, Traffic Management, Last Mile Delivery and Smart Mobility sectors.
National Convention on Local Police Road Safety
For years, the National Union of Local Police Chiefs and Directors (UNIJEPOL) has been holding the National Convention on Local Police Road Safety at TRAFIC, where municipal road safety officers and our specialists meet to propose improvements and recognise the good practices developed by local police forces and the meritorious track record of their professionals in this field.
According to the association, TRAFIC “has always been a leading event for road safety, with its relevant approach that saves lives and protects the wellbeing and integrity of the people who make up our communities.”
“If we look at Road Safety as a set of public actions and policies aimed at preventing, controlling and reducing deaths and injuries suffered due to traffic, TRAFIC has always offered an opportunity to reflect and debate on this topic. It also gives us the opportunity to discover first-hand the new products on the market to improve the safety of road users and traffic police officers themselves”, UNIJEPOL shared.
FESVIAL, solutions for mobility of the future and zero road accident casualties
The Spanish Foundation for Road Safety (FESVIAL) has participated in several editions of TRAFIC, which has become one of the most important international trade fairs for mobility over the years. From 12 to 14 September, it will present possible solutions to all the issues arising in the mobility of the future.
Javier Llamazares, President of FESVIAL, said: “mobility is currently a major social problem due to growing populations in cities, the strong increase of motorisation and the use of vehicles for both passenger and freight transport.”
IV International Congress for Road Safety Professionals – CIPSEVI
The International Congress for Road Safety Professionals (CIPSEVI), spearheaded by the International Association of Road Safety Professionals (AIPSEV), will be held during the 18th edition of TRAFIC, in the framework of the second edition of the Global Mobility Call, under the slogan “Towards Safer, More Sustainable and More Connected Mobility”.
In this new edition, the Congress hopes to bring together a large gathering of professionals working in mobility from Spanish, European and Ibero-American cities. Safety, sustainability and connectivity will be at the heart of the debates, best practice exhibitions and presentations of innovative solutions.
The Congress will close with the AIPSEV III EducaCiudad Zero awards for Spanish cities that support Education for Safe and Sustainable Mobility to prevent road accidents.
TRAFIC “offers a great opportunity to share mobility solutions for the future and discuss the shift from fossil fuels to greener mobility, the challenge of achieving zero road accident casualties and healthier mobility for all”.
