Global Mobility Call brings together leading international players to discuss the future of sustainable mobility
Tomorrow marks the opening of this significant event, organized by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub, which brings together over 10,000 professionals from all over the world, along with nearly 500 speakers and 104 key companies in the development of mobility until October 26. H.M. the King presides over today’s Inaugural Dinner hosted at the Real Casa de Correos in Madrid, together with the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso; the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez; the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez Almeida, and the President of the Executive Committee of IFEMA MADRID, José Vicente de los Mozos.
Global Mobility Call is back this week as the central player on the international sustainable mobility agenda, with the aim of boosting the implementation of agreements, projects and investments that accelerate its development globally. From October 24 to 26, IFEMA MADRID will host more than 10,000 professionals from around the world, who will gather at this international congress and exhibition, which will bring together more than 470 speakers in its congress agenda, and 104 participating companies and startups with a complete range of services, solutions and products that mark the future of all economic sectors that impact the development of a safe, innovative and sustainable mobility in all its fields of action.
The first of the events scheduled for Global Mobility Call will take place this afternoon, Monday 23, with a welcome dinner presided over by H.M. the King, to be held at the Real Casa de Correos in Madrid, which will also be attended by the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso; the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez; the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez Almeida, and the President of the Executive Committee of IFEMA MADRID, José Vicente de los Mozos, among other authorities and business leaders.
The official opening of Global Mobility Call will take place tomorrow, Tuesday 24, in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez, which will give way to the opening of the doors of the Congress and Exhibition to be held in Hall 14 of the Recinto Ferial of IFEMA MADRID, and which is set to be a unique international platform where the main public and private players involved in the development of mobility will have the chance to cross interests, reach agreements and delve into pioneering innovations and cutting-edge projects that are shaping the future of sustainable mobility worldwide.
On its first day, in which will be presented, among other new features of the GMC Expo area, the new car of the 24H of LeMans, powered by hydrogen-electricity, at 10:50 am at stand 14E14; the first Spanish air cab powered by drones; the autonomous bus of CTAG by PwC, and a gyrocopter with the Police drone, and the autonomous bus of Karsan.
In addition, Global Mobility Call will feature prominent speakers in the conference area, such as Bertrand Piccard, aeronaut, explorer, psychiatrist and president of Solar Impulse Foundation with the conference "New paradigms for the future". In addition, an interview with José Vicente de los Mozos, as president of INDRA, to learn about the company's plans for sustainable mobility.
Also noteworthy is the round table sponsored by Iberia and the participation of its Executive Chairman, Fernando Candela, which will deal with The challenge from aviation to make sustainability sustainable, with the participation of ALA, AENA, ENAIRE, BP and SENASA; as well as public transport as one of the pillars of sustainable mobility, in a round table made up by executives from INECO, Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid, EMT and Metro de Madrid. Green hydrogen will also have a prominent place in the first day of Global Mobility Call, by HVR on the Main Stage.
The round table "The public sector as a driver of public-private collaboration to meet the new mobility challenges" will bring together María José Rallo del Olmo, general secretary of Transport and Mobility of Mitma; Raül Blanco Díaz, president of RENFE; Sergio Vázquez Torrón, president of INECO; María Luisa Domínguez González, president of ADIF; and Álvaro Rodríguez Dapena, president of Puertos del Estado.
Among the highlights of the GMC kickoff, the Agora Alliance will be presenting the eReadiness 2023 Report. Different routes to electrification, by Manuel Díaz, partner in charge of the Industrial and Automotive sector at PwC.
In the Side Events program, the European conference "Safe, Inclusive and Accessible Mobility in Smart Cities", organized by AccessibleEU, will be an innovation and debate workshop that will address scenarios and best practices for accessible mobility from three perspectives: the role of disability, from the overall visit of the city and from some success stories already realized.
One of the highlights from that day will be the Innovation Arena, the largest space for innovation and entrepreneurship on sustainable mobility, with the presence of international innovation hubs, technology centers, universities and more than 30 startups; a forum with presentations of innovative projects in sustainable mobility, round tables on cybersecurity, high tech programs, financing methods, new studies applied to mobility and a networking area for meetings between companies and visitors.
The first day of activities will close with the 1st GMC Awards ceremony for the winners of the following categories: Sustainable Participation Award; Last Mile Challenge by Las Rozas Innova; INNOWINNER Award by GMC and PERSONALITY Award by GMC.
