Moventis debuts at Global Mobility Call to showcase its leadership in international sustainable mobility
The company will present its expertise in multimodality and its success in Saudi Arabia, highlighting its global expansion and commitment to efficient mobility. GMC, organized by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub, will take place from November 19 to 21 at the Exhibition Center.
Moventis, the business unit of Moventia specialized in collective mobility, will participate for the first time in Global Mobility Call, the largest international sustainable mobility event, organized by IFEMA MADRID together with Smobhub. The company, which offers services ranging from charter transport to managing regular bus, tram, and shared bicycle lines, continues to strengthen its position as a leader in the sector, both in Spain and internationally.
The brand will lead the presentation Multimodality as a Driver for Territorial Transformation, during which it will share its experience in transforming regions through its internationalization strategy. In Saudi Arabia, the company has become the leading international operator, thanks to the urban service it has operated in Mecca since 2022 and the new intercity service that connects the country's northwest region.
Moventis will also explain its multimodality model, based on the development of comprehensive mobility solutions, which includes the management of bus, coach, tram, and urban bicycle fleets, as well as route planning, pricing, ticketing systems, and the implementation of advanced technologies, among others.
With over 6,533 employees and a fleet that includes 2,586 buses, 41 trams, and 40,000 bicycles, Moventis transports 252 million passengers annually. The company began its international expansion in 2016 with the implementation of a public bicycle system in Helsinki and now operates in seven countries, including Spain, France, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Finland, and Peru. This expansion reflects Moventis' key role in developing sustainable and efficient transportation solutions tailored to the needs of each region.
Josep Maria Martí, CEO of Moventis, expressed his excitement about participating in the Global Mobility Call for the first time. "This event is an unbeatable platform for sharing knowledge, exploring new opportunities, and establishing synergies that drive the future of mobility. We believe Moventis can bring its expertise in managing collective transport services at an international level, along with its commitment to innovation and sustainability, values we consider essential to address the challenges of the sector in the coming years," he stated.
The company's presence at Global Mobility Call, held from November 19 to 21 at IFEMA MADRID, underscores its commitment to innovation and sustainable development in both public and private mobility.
