The company will demonstrate how cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other advanced technologies for transportation and infrastructure are shaping the sector’s future

Indra will showcase its latest technological advancements in smart mobility and the management of large transportation infrastructures at the third edition of the Global Mobility Call. These innovations, already implemented in countries worldwide, aim to promote a more connected, secure, and efficient mobility.

Indra’s Mobility business will participate as the Main Itinerary Partner in this new edition of the Global Mobility Call, an international platform organized by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub, running from November 19 to 21. This event will serve as a meeting point for leading companies driving the development of sustainable mobility in Spain.

Smart Roads

This year, the company will unveil the latest innovations integrated into its In-Mova Traffic platform for traffic and infrastructure management, including cloud, AI, and C-ITS technology for connected vehicles. Indra has implemented this platform in countries like the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. In Spain, it is developing a globally pioneering project for the Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT), whose progress will be highlighted at the event.

Additionally, Indra will exhibit its free-flow dynamic toll system for managed lanes, which improves traffic flow on high-occupancy routes or city access roads. This system is already in use on various U.S. highways. The U.S. has also adopted Indra's AI and deep learning-powered High-Occupancy Vehicle Automatic Detection System (DAVAO), which automatically detects, in real-time, the type of vehicle and its occupants to prioritize and promote the use of high-occupancy, low-emission vehicles. This technology contributes to better traffic flow, improved air quality, and reduced noise pollution.

Technology for Public Transportation and Urban Mobility

Indra is one of the leading ticketing companies globally, and Global Mobility Call will spotlight its technology. The company has secured one of the largest contracts in Ireland to comprehensively manage the revenue system across the country's public transportation network. Indra will incorporate cutting-edge technologies, such as enabling access to transportation via bank cards, mobile phones, or smartwatches (EMV), and traveler account management (Account Based Ticketing – ABT). This advanced and efficient model ensures users always benefit from the best fare.

Indra will also showcase its In-Mova Transit technology for managing urban and interurban passenger transportation. It will present the advances of Spain's first multi-city Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform, which integrates public and private transportation options and low-emission zones from six cities into a single app for citizens.

Solutions for Large Transportation Infrastructures

Indra will also display its technology for large transportation infrastructures, where it leads in using AI for real-time monitoring, decision-making support, and predicting passenger movement patterns.

One of the projects Indra will highlight at the event is the Adif Station Neural Center. Indra is developing this technology to make it the brain coordinating services at stations across Spain. The company will also showcase the open digital signaling ecosystem it is advancing to enhance railway safety and facilitate the harmonization of such systems across Europe.
