Global Mobility Call 2023, a congress and exhibition for public and private leaders to drive sustainable mobility

The second edition of Global Mobility Call is growing into two spaces: GMC Congress and GMC Expo, where business and institutional leaders and experts from all over the world will firmly drive forward sustainable mobility.

The Congress will provide a large discussion forum about opportunities offered by sustainable mobility to provide clean, efficient and viable solutions to social and economic challenges, supporting the post-pandemic recovery and the concerted action to address the global energy and climate crises. These discussions will be materialized into concrete action in the Exhibition side of the Global Mobility Call, a huge display and networking area where one can learn about the latest innovations in sustainable mobility, find synergies and forge new business partnerships. 

IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub are co-organising this new edition of the Global Mobility Call, under the auspices of the Spanish Ministry for Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda of the Government of Spain, to promote multisector relationships between companies, institutions, associations and experts, in a space where the main players in sustainable mobility will be able to create valuable connections.

This new edition will use new participation models, one of which is the GMC Congress, restructured around 8 thematic itineraries. Each itinerary will address different issues. In Sustainable Transport, the new models for increasingly sustainable transport; in the Path Towards Net Zero, the progress towards a pollutant-free business; in Talent and Future Jobs, new employment opportunities and the attraction of talent; in Mobility Solutions for Citizens, the role of technology and regulation in mobility services.

The new approach is complemented by the Intelligent and Liveable Cities itinerary, which will display how digitalising and improving services benefits the quality of life of residents; From Automobile to Mobility Services, which will showcase the progress of the automobile sector in mobility transformation; Better Business for Economic Development, featuring how companies’ sustainability strategies & practices generate fairer, cleaner and more inclusive economic growth; and Technology and Innovation, the drivers transforming mobility.

With this new format, international leaders, CEOs, experts and academics will be able to participate in each of the 8 itineraries which define the paths to be followed in the coming years by companies, public and professional institutions in the various sectors.

Global Mobility Call brings together the main actors and sectors with a holistic, transversal focus, with the 8 itineraries reflected in the 13 sectors of the GMC Expo, the other side of the event. GMC Expo encompasses all sectors of the sustainable mobility ecosystem, showcasing its innovations, promoting networking, featuring businesses created by leveraging NextGenerationEU funds, and fostering new opportunities and public-private partnerships.
