Global Mobility Call will bring together the main international leaders in the mobility field, from the 14 to 16 June 2022, at IFEMA MADRID.

The company is promoting projects to encourage a transition towards electric vehicles.

Iberdrola, a key agent in developing sustainable mobility in Spain, has become an Allied Partner of Global Mobility Call, the congress organised by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub that will make sustainable mobility the backbone of the social and economic change process. The event will be an essential meeting point for agents of all areas involved in this transformation.

The fair will be held from the 14 to 16 June 2022 and is solidly backed by both government institutions and by industry associations and leading companies, which guarantees a comprehensive focus, with all agents interconnected so that sustainable mobility will have beneficial social, economic and environmental impact.

The event will be held within a context of a health crisis, climate emergency, inequality and economic challenges, for which the Recovery Plans are presented as an opportunity to make the most of the advantages of sustainable mobility.

Electrifying transport, key to a sustainable economy

The electricity company Iberdrola has been implementing its Sustainable Mobility Plan since 2020, with an investment of €150 million, by which it will increase the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles in the coming years. The initiative plans to install close to 150,000 charging stations, both in homes and in companies, as well as on streets, in cities and on the main motorways in the coming years. To this end it has formalised over 50 agreements to install infrastructures with government offices, institutions, companies, service stations, car dealerships, electric vehicle manufacturers, and it has signed the EV100 initiative by The Climate Group, to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles.

The App Recarga Pública Iberdrola contains all of the mobility solutions offered by Iberdrola, and it also has information on thousands of charging stations of other providers, informs on whether they are operational, the type of chargers at each station and the prices being charged.

The company also recently inaugurated the largest ultra-fast charging hub for electric vehicles in Southern Europe, located on the A-70 motorway in the municipal district of Elche. The project, in collaboration with Porsche, is comprised of two charging stations and will have a total rated power of four megawatts, with four chargers that allow up to 16 vehicles to be charged.
