The Municipal Transport Company of Madrid (EMT) will participate in Global Mobility Call, organized by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with Smobhub, to highlight its major sustainable urban mobility projects at stand 3B01, shared with Madrid City Council and its Madrid 360 Strategy. Key strategic pillars showcased in EMT's exhibition area include the city's first hydrogen refueling station, the growing electrification of the municipal bus fleet, and the solid consolidation of the BiciMAD network.
EMT will take part as a Global Partner in this international event, held from November 19 to 21, with representatives from both EMT and the Madrid City Council participating in panel discussions. Borja Carabante, Madrid City Council's Delegate for Urban Planning, Environment, and Mobility, and EMT President, will open the event on November 19 at Ágora Connect by participating in the panel titled "Supercities: The Intelligence of Territory."
One of the key topics in these presentations by EMT experts will be Madrid's mobility model and its successful evolution. In this context, EMT's Managing Director, Alfonso Sánchez, will join the debate on Tuesday during the panel "Public Transport: The Evolution of Madrid's Excellence Model."
On Wednesday, November 20, Ágora Connect will focus on the latest technologies applied to transportation and urban mobility. Carlos Acha, EMT's Director of Technology and Innovation, will kick off with his talk "All Roads Lead to Public Transport." Later, Acha will delve into digitalization and its connection to urban mobility and data spaces.
Additionally, EMT's Director of Mobility, Carlos Mateo, will discuss current solutions for active mobility, while Managing Director Alfonso Sánchez will address global sustainability commitments through urban mobility. The final panel discussion on November 20 will focus on the energy transformation of transportation as a lever for industry change. In this session, Roberto Corchero, Head of EMT's Project Coordination Division, and Gonzalo Fernández, EMT's Infrastructure Director, will take the floor.
To conclude EMT's participation, Carlos Mateo will deliver a presentation on November 21 at Insights Plaza, addressing the transformation of freight transportation through smarter and more efficient connections.
