Adif Presents its Commitment to Integrated and Sustainable Mobility at Global Mobility Call
The president of Adif, Pedro Marco de la Peña, will outline the actions undertaken to restore railway infrastructure in record time following the impact of the DANA storm.
Adif is participating in the new edition of Global Mobility Call with a prominent role in the event’s meetings and forums agenda, where it will showcase its commitment to integrated, accessible, and sustainable mobility, as well as progress in the liberalization of passenger transport. This event, organized by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with Smobhub, will bring together leaders and experts from November 19 to 21 to share insights on the present and future of sustainable mobility.
Adif’s president, Pedro Marco de la Peña, will take part in the roundtable discussion "Critical Infrastructure for Integrated Mobility" (Tuesday, November 19, at 3:30 PM in the Main Auditorium), addressing topics such as infrastructure resilience, decarbonization, and the logistics value chain. He will particularly highlight Adif's efforts to rapidly rebuild railway infrastructure severely damaged by the DANA storm, which has significantly affected the Valencian Community.
Adif’s Director General of Safety, Processes, and Corporate Systems, Esther Mateo, will participate in the roundtable discussion "Intermodality: Collective, Accessible, and Sustainable Mobility" (Tuesday, November 19, at 11:40 AM in Ágora Alliance). This forum will explore responsible practices by transport companies to achieve more sustainable and transparent mobility.
Additionally, Adif will take part in the session titled "Railway Mobility: Liberalization and the Spanish Case" (Tuesday, November 19, at 12:30 PM in Ágora Inspire), moderated by María Luisa Domínguez, Director of Strategic Plans and Projects, with participation from Raúl Míguez, Deputy Director of the Presidential Office. He will share the results of the first phase of passenger transport liberalization and key aspects of the second phase.
The Trans-European Transport Network will also take center stage during the roundtable discussion "Atlantic and Mediterranean Corridors: Key Infrastructure for Spanish Rail" (Thursday, November 21, at 11:40 AM in Ágora Inspire). Government commissioners for the Atlantic and Mediterranean Corridors, José Antonio Sebastián and Josep Vicent Boira, respectively, will participate.
Finally, smart mobility solutions aimed at improving operations and passenger flows will be discussed in the roundtable "Optimization of Operations and Processes in Transport Infrastructure" (Thursday, November 21, at 12:30 PM in Ágora Inspire), featuring Álvaro Asenjo, Deputy Director of Maintenance for Adif’s Passenger Stations Directorate.
