A bit of history
COSCO Group has been present in Spain since 1973, when it received the ship "Chun Lin" and diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and Spain began that same year. On 29 November 2016, the Company changed its name to COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Spain), S.A. in accordance with the general reform and restructuring provisions adopted by China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company (COSCO) and China Shipping (Group) Company (China Shipping).
As of June 2019 COSCO Shipping Lines Co., Ltd. has 403 vessels totalling a capacity of 2.2 million TEUs. Currently, COSCO Shipping Lines Co., Ltd. operates 403 domestic and international shipping routes, covering 570 ports in 140 countries and regions worldwide. COSCO Shipping Lines Co., Ltd. is a member of the Ocean Alliance, the world's leading alliance in terms of capacity.
