The Italian company has managed to make the industrial system that measures avocado ripeness even more efficient. In addition to this novelty, ILIP is exhibiting for the first time at Fruit Attraction its range of professional solutions for the fruit and vegetable sector, as well as the many proposals for sustainable food packaging in R-PET of the Tray to Tray controlled supply chain.

ILIP, a leading company in the production of packaging solutions.

ILIP returns to Fruit Attraction (Madrid, 8-10 October 2024), stand B21 - pavilion 9.

Fruit Next Forum 5 will be the perfect occasion to present the new version of the Smart Ripe Trolley, the innovative IoT (Intelligence of Things) system for monitoring the ripening process of tropical fruits in industrial environments designed especially for avocados. ILIP's presentation is scheduled for Wednesday 9 October from 17:30 to 18.30, in hall 5, Fruit Next 5.

In addition, ILIP confirms its commitment to research and development of sustainable packaging by bringing to the Hortipack fair its complete range of professional solutions (growing boxes and trays, transport trays and seed trays) for fruit and vegetable production made from recycled PET and PS. Among the most innovative products are the pre-cut trays, ideal for optimising retail sales and transport, and the R-PET seedbed designed to be combined with XPS (extruded expanded polystyrene) seedbeds for the industrial sowing of tomatoes, chicory and tobacco. The combination allows the XPS seedbeds to be reused for several years (they do not suffer contamination when placed underneath), thus guaranteeing a perfectly sterile result.

Also on display is the range dedicated to fresh produce packaging, which includes plastic, bioplastic and R-PET baskets, trays and trays designed to protect fruit and vegetables, prolong their shelf life and reduce food waste.

ILIP's packaging has been developed to reduce its environmental impact through the use of recycled and recyclable materials and downgauging, i.e. lower weight but the same performance. In addition, the company's R-PET packaging is derived from a special T2T R-PET® process (T2T=tray to tray), i.e. the recycling of post-consumer bottles and trays into trays suitable for food contact, thus avoiding the need to use the same amount of virgin raw material.
